well basically you have to install the missing .dll file first. juz google the missing file, download it and install it and you are good to go Big Grin

Raimoo already told you that you simply need to install that DLL file, but it may help to also know that this DLL is part of the Visual C redistribution package of Visual Studio 2010. That package is usually named something like "vcredist_x86.exe" (or "vcredist_x64.exe" for 64-bit OS), but the same name is also used for later Visual Studio versions, which use a differently named DLL, so if you install the whole package you need to make sure that it is for Visual Studio 2010.

I do recommend that you find that package and install the whole thing. That will most likely solve other DLL dependencies as well, in addition to the one you saw this time.

Best regards: dlanor

Install the proper runtimes, don't download random DLLs off Google.

it would be okay for normal save but not if you use savestate since savestate saves the entire emulator settings which will be not compatible with the latest emulator settings

RE: Beginners Guide
Just wanted to mention if you are moving your save file over don't rename it because I did and the game did not recognize it but it is also easily fixable i just created a new save and replaced the old saves name with the new saves name and it worked again.

RE: Beginners Guide
Sir, I downloaded the emulator 0.9.6 for windows xp 32, but Can't run it.. it says "the application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\MSVCP100.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please Check this against your installation diskette".

I downloaded and installed MSVCP100.dll and VC2010 redist file several times now, but still got this message.

And I don't know where to post here, so I posted it here in the Beginners Guide.

Hope Someone can Help me Run the emulator.
