NB: I'm not arguing against you in this post of mine.

The guy's confusion about what to do with RARs clearly shows that he didn't make those himself from legal backups, but acquired them from someone else, hence proving a case of piracy.

I'm just pointing out that your choice of words here may create some misunderstandings...

Privacy != Piracy

And surely we do support privacy, as opposed to piracy.

RE: Beginners Guide
Many people comes here and posts that downloaded a game, but doesn't know how to run on PPSSPP. Of course, according to the rules, we can't help. But if these people just say that has a ISO and doesn't know how to run, then we can help. Then is just privacy, if the person keep their privacy, "there is not problem"

RE: Beginners Guide
I'm new to the ppsspp emulator for android but I love what I have seen so far and I want to say thanks first. I do have a couple questions though and if the question has already been asked I am very sorry.

1) Is a save file on a psp usable by the ppsspp emulator?

2) I tried playing Star Ocean: Second Evolution, everything is perfect so far except the scale on the opening sequence is off, it doesn't fit the screen. Is there a setting that I am missing that can fix that?

Thanks again

RE: Beginners Guide
1) In theory, yes. Some games when ran in PPSSPP will reject real PSP created saves. As for why, I don't think we've figured that out yet. YMMV, so try it out and see how it works for you.
2) Try setting the rendering resolution to something that isn't Auto under Graphics -> Rendering resolution under Game Settings.

RE: Beginners Guide
Well the initial save state test worked out just fine. I tried it with a Brave Story save and it picked up right where I left off, there were some slowdowns but that will take some further experimentation.

As far as star ocean goes, the only thing that seemed to change the fmv size to fit the screen was to switch to non buffered, but when I did that there was no gameplay screen. The audio plays just fine, and the menu works fine as well, but as far as moving the character around there is just a black screen. Though upon further playing, the first fmv where Claude gets teleported worked perfectly so the issue only seems to affect the opening.
