Newer versions BRICK my device

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
FWIW, there have now been 52,511 reports from people running 16 core Intel-based CPUs (at least two different kinds, too.) I guess Xeons? I don't think there are consumer/desktop 16 core CPUs, even with hyperthreading, but I could be wrong. I know there are ones with 12.

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
sorry for bump this thread but the emulator doesn't work anymore, I tried the latest ~20 updates and just doesn't start, no force closes or anything just black screen and closes itself, it is only for our buggy ARMv6 Broadcom device? Sad

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
Can you limit the issue to the particular build it first happened on?

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
I think devices that use ArmV6 are not supported any more, as my phone was also ArmV6, and also doesn't work hence why i got myself a ArmV7 tablet to continue testing.

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
Nobody has announced the end of ArmV6 support, it's just that I don't have any such devices to test on.

Can someone figure out what the last version that worked on Armv6 was?

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
Did you try 1676 or later? Some things have been fixed.

If that doesn't help, I guess I will have to get myself an ArmV6 device..

Just tried 1676 and still not working Sad

EDIT: I remember you said that Broadcom chips doesn't show anything in bug reports, so I wonder if you had any BCM21553 in your hands could be more useful?

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
I now have a Galaxy Y which is an ARMv6 BCM device but it runs fine, except when using Buffered Rendering.

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
Broadcom GPUs seems to have serious problems with framebuffers. I see the same on my Galaxy Y and don't see a way to fix it..

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
Oh, I see... now I hate Broadcom even more... if anybody is thinking about contact to bcm support better don't waste your time because they don't listen to users... f.e: https://www.change.org/petitions/broadco...53-devices

Thanks for try anyway Henrik, you have done a really great job here, at least we can play homebrews on this stupid bcm chip Tongue

RE: Newer versions BRICK my device
Did you enabled buffered rendering by default again? nicely didn't brick the device but after loading screens crash (same as cpu and gpu rendering)

Sorry for insist, but now only get green screen and crashes, and with 0.8.1 old times (http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?...#pid41485) after pressing start button I could enter to the game, so I suposse is not impossible to fix or at least to minimice the issue?

EDIT: also tried software render but doesn't work properly, actually is slow than hardware Confused
