VSYNC option

RE: VSYNC option
You sure you don't have FXAA on or something? With buffered rendering on there's no effect for me. When I turn it off, it works perfectly fine.

RE: VSYNC option
V-sync works for me only with a third party tool named NVIDIA Inspector, you need to install this and change the default "Buffer flipping mode" to "OGL_FORCE_BLIT_ON", also this is for Windows XP SP3 and NVIDIA card users, dont know if this app works on Windows 7

RE: VSYNC option
just go to your graphic card setting and set vSync for the ppsspp.exe, works like magic.

RE: VSYNC option
Well... the way it used to work, you could have vsync and still unthrottle speed or use the speed toggle at any time you wanted. If you force it from the graphic card's control panel instead, you get a constant 60fps forced (or whatever is your vsync's refresh rate), so if your game is running at 60fps already you dont get a speed toggle at all, and other games that run lower fps will only speed up to whatever the vsync allows you to.

@Marcelo_20XX
Your solution works on Windows7 too and i can keep unthrottle as well as vsync, thank you.

RE: VSYNC option
Hi there! i´ve exactly the same annoying issue, i use: ppsspp v0.9.1 -499 g361a6ea on Windows 7 x64

and my experiences are:

*i have NO tearing at all if i use my integrated Intel HD graphic card.
*i have NO tearing if i use my Nvidia GT540m in Windowed mode.
*I have tearing if i use my Nvidia GT540m in Full Screen mode no matter if i activate Vsync via EMU or via Nvidia Control Panel
*if i hit the ALT key the problem is gone for a few minutes (or scenes)... i dont know what does ALT key do.. but i think right there is the solution to this problem Smile

i hope this small report helps this project to be even better

RE: VSYNC option
Did you tried using Nvidia Inspector to enable the hidden Vsync option?

RE: VSYNC option
Does the PPSSPP vsync option use the extension GLX(WGL)_EXT_swap_control_tear or not ?

AFAIK this extension tries to vsync, and if it's too late, just tears without waiting (better performance?).
