Trying to merge his repository with henrik's doesn't work, I get tons of conflicts. Cloning his repository and all submodules results in the release v0.81 with no modifications at all.

This one might be tricky, even for me. I may have to figure this out first.

Conflicts exist because they're very different from one another, and you may have to resolve them yourself.

I'm pretty much a newb myself when it comes to resolving major conflicts, and it doesn't help that his repo hasn't probably been rebased with the latest master yet.

Cloning his repo should grant you the correct build, if you also merged the right softgpu branch into his said repo. Mind you, his compiled release of 0.8.1 with the soft gpu doesn't look that different from a normal build.

EDIT:- There are 2 softgpu branches in his tree on his repo. Make sure you've picked the right one.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1
