RE: [Discussion] 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
So I tried using Kabuto_Kun's Cheat Engine tutorial to make Ace Combat X run at 60, and hit a snag. For some reason when I try to change the values in the address list I always get question marks ("??") instead of the number I entered.

I have the MEM_MAPPED option enabled by the way. Maybe I'm doing something really stupid, but I'm not sure what...

RE: [Discussion] 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
I found this thread through the 60fps master list and noticed that it's quite outdated(july last year). I thought I'd have to do most of the patches myself, but they were already posted randomly throughout this thread. Isn't it time someone updated the master list?

And can PPSSPP adjust for aspect ratio's automatically? Because I couldn't find a aspect ratio patches thread here. I already made some patches myself for my 16:10 monitor, but I imagine many smartphone and tablet users would also suffer from black borders because of different aspect ratio's like 15:9 or even 4:3. I didn't find a definitive answer.

@Tafferwocky: You might have the offset wrong. I did notice a lot of values turn to ?? when you activate them (leave them on, space button) in cheatengine.

I'm supposed to update the list but i can't really find the time to do it. I might do some light updates in the next week but the biggest problem is that this thread is big and the makers of the 60 FPS hacks aren't private messaging me them so i sometimes don't see the codes.
I'll try to add some new codes soon(and i need to format the thread a lil bit better, doesn't look so great)

RE: [Discussion] 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
Wipeout Pure EUR (UCES00001) 60fps code, it seems to not unlock ingame slowdowns such as explosions to 30fps (on PSP FAT, on PPSSPP they seem to be gone), but has menu and zone at 60 fps. I want to say Thanks to who made the code for USA game, without that it would have taken much more time to find it, and it's close to sure that I would have never tried without that code already existing, as this is maybe my second time using CWCheat.

Code:
_C0 Force 60 FPS
_L 0x2006509C 0x00000000
_C0 30 FPS [Normal]
_L 0x2006509C 0x1480FFFB

bugs: video playback is at double speed, out of sync, and lags on the PSP FAT, but skips no problem.

There will not be any improvement on the code from my side.

RE: [Discussion] 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
Valkyria Chronicles 2 code works well enough alone. ("Fast" menus are small price to pay.)

But when using Ad Hoc and playing with a friend with the code also, it locks it self at 30 FPS and the game runs in slowmotion (half speed?) for both of us, works otherwise but becomes unplayable sadly.

Anything can be done?

I got back to trying this method on some games as well and got the same result. I̶'̶d̶ ̶s̶u̶g̶g̶e̶s̶t̶ ̶d̶o̶w̶n̶l̶o̶a̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶o̶l̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶v̶e̶r̶s̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶C̶h̶e̶a̶t̶ ̶E̶n̶g̶i̶n̶e̶.̶ ̶I̶'̶l̶l̶ ̶t̶r̶y̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶m̶y̶s̶e̶l̶f̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶w̶e̶l̶l̶.̶

Over on the CE forums they say it occurs when "a dynamically allocated block of memory is freed...the way to be able to automatically refind the new block is to get a pointer to it, which is explained in CE tutorial".

In-progress 60 FPS for Hunter x Hunter: Wonder Adventure. Right now it's just a speed hack (animations and interface speed up, audio untouched). I don't know the first step to fix this however.

Code:
_S NPJH-50624
_G Hunter x Hunter Wonder Adventures [JPa]
_C0 60 FPS
_L 0x11fc0cc 0x00000001

Cheat updated to v2 on: Dic. 03, 2016
*Cheat Status: No issues.
Notes:
- The game sets the FPS cap only once at boot time, so to make the cheat work you must boot the game with the cheat enabled; you can boot the game, enable the cheat and reset/restart it. If it still doesn't work for you, increase the cheat refresh rate to make sure the value of the cheat is changed before the game runs the FPS capped value.
- 30 FPS cheat needs a high value as CPU speed in PPSSPP options to run stable (like 555Mhz).
- 60 FPS cheat needs 999Mhz (yes, really) as CPU speed in PPSSPP options to run stable, and even then you may experience minor slowdowns in heavy scenes with a lot of enemies. Extremely bad optimized game Undecided

About some games that have been mentioned recently around here:

- Me & My Katamari: @Mills, user VIRGIN KLM tried to unlock it too and got the same results, double speed. I should take a look at it...
- Sims 2 castaway: @Endarko, I tried it once and didn't find anything, I will try again.
- Persona 3: @myonichin, double speed Sad
- Valkyria Chronicles 2: @Vashzaron, I only have the demo right now, if it has Ad Hoc included I may take a look at this multiplayer FPS cap.
- Hunter x Hunter Wonder Adventure: What a nice surprise, I didn't know that this manga/anime had a PSP game, and it looks so good. I'll try to fix the game speed at some point, thanks @Slightly Apathetic Mio.
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: @bondang, check above Wink

@GamerzHell9137 Yeah there are a lot of codes around here, just a suggestion: if you update the format of the master list thread, it would be a good idea to post a link to the original post for each cheat, as sometimes special details are posted or the cheats are updated.

To those that have problems with Cheat Engine not working or are beginners in its use, watch youtube videos or tutorials to make sure you know the basic usage, then follow my FPS tutorial. I know it can be confusing to use the first time.

BTW I've been silently porting all my posted codes to other regions/releases, so re-check the cheats if you have a different version of a game that has been already posted.

Not sure if the Demo has Ad Hoc, but thanks anyway!

Edit: I actually managed to fix this myself in the most roundabout way.

So basically I understand little of this and in an attempt to fix this myself I checked your "easy" fps unlocking tutorial and followed it. In the end I made these codes:

Code:
_C0 60 fps test
_L 0x20561E4C 0x00000001
_C0 30 fps test
_L 0x20561E4C 0x00000002
_C0 20 fps test
_L 0x20561E4C 0x00000003

Which controls the games frameskipping, problem is the game speeds up or slows down depending on what framerate it is actually expecting. (Battle 30, Ad Hoc 20, Non Combat 60)

I unfortunately do not know how I would fix that problem, but I looked at the original codes LunaMoo made:

Code:
_S ULUS-10515
_G Valkyria Chronicles II
_C0 60 fps
_L 0xE003C29C 0x003B8D00
_L 0x203B8D00 0x00000000
_L 0x20044800 0x46006346
_L 0x20044AEC 0x46006B06
//requires restart after activating:3
_C0 60 fps [Disable]
_L 0x203B8D00 0x0E32C29C
_L 0x20044800 0x460C0342
_L 0x20044AEC 0x460D6302

I know nothing about how this works but it stops 30fps > 60 from going double speed. Does not work in Ad Hoc mode. (20 > 30 and it slowed down.)

So I figured what if I enable both my 30 fps test code with the original 60fps one by LunaMoo? ...Bam it works! Besides 60 fps everywhere including Adhoc it also has the added effect of stopping segments in the game that were 60fps already from being double speed. (Non Combat Menus, Lanseal)

I don't know if the code can be cleaned up or whatever but it works as is for me and hopefully this helps anyone else that was potentially wondering.

RE: [Discussion] 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
this is for android.. Is there a way that you can make a game have a higher FPS than 60? like in tekken 6.. usually when you play it with frameskipping 0, the characters movement are smooth and looks like from psp.. but the FPS ratio is usually 30/60 or 32/60.. if we can make the FPS higher, maybe it would also force the game to play a little bit faster than the usual..

or is there a way you can make everything on the game move twice as fast? and i mean everything.. not just the characters.. i tried something i found on the net that makes the characters move twice as fast but it's still buggy.. (also tried to use the 30FPS code just to try if the 200% Speed would work)
_C1 Game Speed Mod 30FPS
_L 0x20452890 0x00000002
_C1 P1 Speed 200%
_L 0x20407974 0x00001FF8
_C1 P2 Speed 200%
_L 0x204082A4 0x00001FF8

RE: [Discussion] 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
A fps ratio of 30/60 or 32/60 means that the device running the emulator is not fast enough to run at full speed at the current settings. Increasing the max fps to 120 (if you could) would result in 30/120 and 32/120. Fps is the amount of frames (individual screens drawn by the gpu) able to be delivered per second. Raising the limit does not magically make your cpu/gpu render more frames.
