hm.. no.

it about force low fps to 60 fps or 30 correct me if i wrong.
If force to 60 fps maybe intro can run normaly.I dunno why only only intro fps drop so bad but on gameplay it normal 30 fps.

KHBBS 60fps patch see slow for my driver.it drop speed that 30 fps one.
60 fps 28-30 speed (by you patch) and 30 fps 50-58 speed.

hm... if you want more fps, there's no magic way... You indeed need more machine power to be able to get more fps without losing on speed. What Virgin is providing is a way to get more fps for those who actual can.

It's not some magic cheat that make game runs better if they are not already running well... but in fact... maybe there is a way to set the fps limit to a lower rate? like 30 to 26 or 25? shouldn't be that bad and may give a speed boost on mobile device?.... anyway XD

have a nice day!

RE: 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
i dont use mobile device.. (if i has one it realy worse)
It weird only intro at .hack//link give me slow fps but high speed (vps) (ofc the result is the intro will be slow. On gameplay it okay 30 fps 60 speed (smooth). Maybe that game has some sort of problem. Big Grin

Edit: Maybe I should this he said this not related at all anyway. Smile

I worse write english so take easy on me
(even my own language realy bad T_T)

Rig to test now :

It's not possible on all games.
For example I provided a trick to force 30FPS on Gran Turismo Portable which should be relatively less heavy performance wise.
Also Where Is My Heart seems to be able to run at 30, 60, and 90 FPS (lol yeah I know), I just need a bit more time on it, alot of them require alot more than just a cheat/trick or something.

Well, I found it using the dissasembler but I could patch the ELF executable to assign a special address for it but since it's not on a DMA range there's no reason for it.

Thanks for the codes, VIRGIN KLM. I also loved the PCSX2 codes as well. A cheat like this for Crisis Core would be great as well, if you have time for that Smile.

Nice trick. But cheat still not work on android right?
On pc, ppsspp still can run faster even on lower end pc.

There is a new method (code based) posted that fixes the music issue -BUT- PCSX2 does not have the capability of overclocking in contrast to PPSSPP so the code will not have stable 60fps.

It's unfortunate that development for PCSX2 is basically at a standstill, there are so many things they could improve still.

It's not related to faster gaming, but to better gaming Wink playing game at 60fps is supposed to look and feel better then a game at 30fps Wink

Ps. Just like pc game Wink

RE: 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
VirginKLM: Could you please post a tutorial showing how to find this addresses? I want to enable 60FPS in some games, namely Vice City Stories and MK Unchained, they both have their menus at 60FPS then switch to 30FPS for the gameplay, thanks...

RE: 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
It's not game universal, every game needs a specific trick for it (RAM hacking, ELF editing, dissasemly tracking), not something as tutorial-possible as PS2 Widescreen hacks. You generaly need to know/guess how you could violate a game to force it render on higher framerates.
But allow me to have a bit more time into it.
I'm currently trying Where Is My Heart and it seems to be more tough than I thought (I had success but it will hang just a bit after and I bet it's my mistake since I know what I do wrong, it's just that I try to find a way to avoid the mistake). Think of it like trying to pass a land full of narcs, one mistake and I'm again back to zero.
I -BET- Uknown could help me do it by the way.

Well isn't what you are doing something like this

or this
http://www.codemasters-project.net/porta...content.40

My question was for what your are searching to find possible addresses for the code your are looking for

I really want to set the FPS to 30\60 on Fate Unlimited Codes because it's running at 20FSP(internal)and it looks kinda slow(compared to the PS2 version)

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

Batch iso <=> cso converter

RE: 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
VIRGIN KLM, can you explain the RAM hacking method? I was wondering if it can be used in other 30fps capped games. I'm aware there is no universal solution, but I'm particularly interested in what you did in KHBBS:

North American Version (ULUS10505)
_C1 Force 60 FPS Mode
_L 0x21722E08 0x00000000

I tested this code and now the game runs at a smooth 60vps/60fps. I noticed the code filled an address with zeroes, is it possible to search memory for a similar value in other games?

---

By the way, is there any tool to make codes for CWCHEAT? I mean one that works for PPSSPP in win7.

Yes and No. There's not a direct answer to that, to be honest I'm not even able to answer that myself yet. The idea could work, the address or value thing might vary though, sometimes it may be more than just one (like Where's My Heart, it needs more than just one address and even then it has more tha 2 possible settings for FPS modes (30,60,90 or maybe more FPS).

Depends with what you mean with easy. I do it with Cheat Engine and by finding manualy every single time the offset the memory is mapped, it's quite a pain in the @$$ for me too. Also CWCheat cheat searching tool is soooooo slow and soooooo limited that I'm not using a real PSP to search my codes.

Not really.
The first link is a preset syscall of PS2's Emotion Engine that either calls 60 or 50 Hz. With that you can set the video mode the game runs in, not it's internal framerate. PSP's hardware doesn't work that way at all. And the second is the speed which has little to nothing to do with it. Technicaly you could set PPSSPP to 120FPS on it's framelimmit and half the game's internal speed and this would result into 60FPS effectively but music and video would be in double speed. (This is what I did on PCSX2 and Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ before the real hack for 60FPS got out).
