my question is, when i download a new version of ppsspp from orphis, can i just overwrite the one i've already got on my pc with the new one?

Yes but if you have save states from the old version,they won't work or give you problems

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

Batch iso <=> cso converter

Normal saves will work but save states almost never work

They allow you to save the game at any point and continue from there
F2 - Save
F4 - Load
