Is there is any point of allowing more than one running instance of ppsspp?

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

Batch iso <=> cso converter

2 quick reasons I can think of, as a tester:-

1. For quick and easy debugging of games for developers and testers.

Allows devs and testers to open up the same game on older and newer revisions simultaneously for quick problem reproduction and bisecting without having to open and close that one instance of PPSSPP over and over again.

Lets you have side by side comparisons to ascertain the responsible revision when it comes to visual anomalies.

2. Also, so that you can do this on your computer:-

Gotta look at the bigger picture, mate Big Grin

Ok then,that's a good enough reason to have such feature...maybe an option "disallow multiple instances" would be nice

Failed loading emulator properly
I have been trying to play dragon ball evolution on ppsspp(on nokia n8) since 0.7.5 came but it loaded nothing,when 0.7.6 came it was only able to load games menu&sometimes if lucky gameplay too... Recently I installed ppsspp v8.1-332 on nokia n8, When I started ppsspp it showed nothing exept ablack screen(however db evoltion icon was present on left top of screen),i started the game I was suprised because it loaded everything ofthe game but 0% ofthe emulator(well buttons were not present tough when you touch at their position,they responded).speed ofthe game during fight was 17 and during movies 12 without any kind of speed drop. My conclution is that gpu of n8 can load either emulator fully or game.....my request is that can you make ppsspp version having non-gpu requiring ui? And also before starting ppsspp free ram was 120mb and after exiting ppsspp free ram was 121mb!!!

dawoddanial, will try to reduce the GPU memory requirements of the UI in the future - although that's off topic in this thread.

vsub_, yeah, could add an option for this... but is it really that annoying to just close old instances of PPSSPP before opening a new one, or what's the problem?

RE: Just curious,is there is any point of allowing multiple instances?
It's not a problem but it often happens that I open more that one instance and then start wondering why it's slow.

And btw is there is some reason why when you start a game,the window becomes inactive and then active?
