Problem with controls

Problem with controls
Okay so i've downloaded the latest builds(0.8.1-302) and they seem to have a control problem (keyboard controls). I set them as I always do when i download a new build. The problem is they don't work...but some keyboard buttons still did something. So i went into the settings menu, controls, keymapping and found a second set of mapped controls. These are the ones that are activated in-game. The problem is I can't map them the way i want. An example, L was mapped to Q, I mapped it to O. When i wanted to map Select to Q it said that i can't do that cause Q was already mapped to L trigger.... went back to L trigger and the key was clearly stated to be O, not Q. And no matter how I arrange them they seem to stay completely default.
Please help and sorry for such a long description.

RE: Problem with controls
This new way to map controls is very new, so it's not finished, I think we should be patient for the moment Wink

RE: Problem with controls
Waiting isn't a problem, i just wanted to make sure the people making the builds are aware of this problem.

RE: Problem with controls
Is it possible to map the PSP DPad to my xbox 360 right thumbstick?

Going into the Options > Controls does not allow me to change XInput or DirectInput buttons on the Dpad.

Do I need MotionJoy to be able to change this?

Thanks

Quote:7Q. How do I control the camera besides using the dpad?
7A. Change RightStickBind in PPSSPP.ini from 0 to one of the following(RAS = Right Analog Stick):
0. Off, RAS axes do nothing
1. RAS acts as DPAD
2. RAS acts as ABXY buttons (<- This could be used if you prefer the PS2 style of Monster Hunter..)
3. RAS acts as left/right bumper, one axis for each bumper
4. RAS acts as left/right bumper on one axis, A/Y buttons on the other
5. RAS X-Axis(left/right) acts as left/right DPAD buttons (<- Useful for games that have camera movements that are typically horizontal(MonHun))

How about this?

4GHz AMD 3900X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 6GB Nvidia RTX 2060, Asus Crosshair 7 Hero (Wifi), Linux

RE: Problem with controls
So what solution is feasible for someone like me? Normally I use
X Button = X
Square Button = Z
Triangle Button = S
O Button = C
L Button = A
R Button = D
Start = Enter
Select = Space

Yup, this works. Thank you very much.

Is 5 an inverted version of 1? I tried setting it as 5, but it did not work. I use inverted controls in Dark Souls, so switching from each of them is going to hurt my head a bit. haha

RE: Problem with controls
Okay so i've gone through all the releases and the control problem starts with v0.8.1-232-g676c000 , 231 is working correctly. Just thought I'd save the people working on the emulator some trouble searching through them.

Thats's odd, since v0.8.1-232-g676c000 deals with something completely unrelated to controls at all.

You can read about it here:-

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

I can see that......somewhat(i can understand some c++ but i'm a bit rusty). Still it's the release that started this whole controls business. There's gotta be something in its code that was maybe changed by mistake or didn't completely carry over to the newer build. I'd look over them but again my C++ is kinda minimal at the moment.
