Signature gif support poll
Hello guys,

I've seen some of you wondering if the signature can support gifs, images or smileys.Well it currently doesn't but if there is enough interest we can kindly ask Henrik to help us out(considering it's not complicated and he has time).

Also if you want to be useful you can search some easy ways to support that in the current forum(maybe some plugins).

Unfortunately I don't know how to add this support to the forum Undecided

RE: Signature gif support poll
Half yes, half no.

Or perhaps 90% no since it has 99.9% risk of bringing idiotic sig pictures/oversized pictures as sig/ridiculously heavy gif as sig or such all over the forum.

I think it's possible to impose limitations in order to avoid this kind of problems Smile

Yeah I forgot to add that there will be rules regarding the size of the image both in resolution and KB

Yes, as Razorback has underlined, this is indispensable Smile

RE: Signature gif support poll
Voted no. It would take effort to enable a feature that would just clutter the forums. I agree with Razor completely, can't think of the last time I've seen an image sig that wasn't completely bloated and meaningless. Also while we're on the topic my signature is not working at all, no matter how many times I update it...

Are you certain the 'Disable my signature in all of my existing posts.' option in the UserCP>Change Signature isn't enabled?

RE: Signature gif support poll
I just enabled my signature like 14 times, can you see it?

EDIT: Hm, looks like I needed to enable it about 36 times.. that or it just took some time to update since yesterday. Thanks for the help either way, I guess Smile

RE: Signature gif support poll
I'm voting a big no, it adds nothing to the discussions going on here, it would clutter the screen more causing far more scrolling, in fact I'm willing to bet the ratio of words to signatures would become 1:2 with this change, also 90% of forum signatures are questionable anime stuff, fact. Also I browse here sometimes on my phone and hate having to load pointless images over and over again on it.

The mobile browsing argument is actually very good.I'll let the poll run for another 2 days then see the results and act in consequence:-)

RE: Signature gif support poll
Personally, I voted Yes but after some reflections I realize that these gifs, images and smileys are quite useless ! Big Grin

RE: Signature gif support poll
It's also worth noting that people already have sigs here, in the form of text, to list their system specs or whatever, and nothing is stopping anyone from putting in an imgur text link to there anime boobs. So in away we already have signatures already.
