I meant that I could turn the filtering up to 16 and the texture scaling up to 5x with minimal effects to the framerate.

I do believe though that the cause for hiccups in cutscenes is the subtitles, because whenever I run near an entrance to an area and the the name of that area shows up, it hiccups as well. It's basically anything that isn't on the screen during normal gameplay. Pressing start, getting close to a world and info popping up on the world map, level ups, etc.

How would I do that? I'm a huge novice when it comes to emulation
