RE: 0.8 released!
Does disabling the ATRAC3+ thing help these problems? It sounds like it's not very efficient.

thanks all the developers who works on this amazing project, my K-Touch Lotus II now runs patapon 3 on full speed, all sound/music present, overall flawless experience, i cant wait for it to be further optimized so poor android users can play MHFU without lags and all, i know it wont take long but always hope a coding magic to happen
and again, thanks everyone for making this amazing emulator Smile

UltraHLE ran maybe 20 games near-correctly, at most. More with hacks later but seriously. Also it was developed in secrecy for quite a while before the first release.

RE: 0.8 released!
Henrik, it seems whenever you invent an emulator and make it open source the emulator grows rather quickly, it happened with Dolphin and now is happening with PPSSPP too.

Maybe you should invent a PS3 emulator and make it open source... it might grow quickly too and in a couple of month it will probably play games.

...Yeah, i'm joking but hey, you never know. You seem to have that magic afterall.

and now we recieve a 0.8 is more like a BIG Beta.

I don't get this. If they know the development version is better, why do they bother with the official release? I mean that users who want to use 0.8 official are the users who don't want to try the development version or don't know about it.

I'm happy for the developers when the 0.8 is released because I know this will satisfy many users who are still using 0.76 official release but I don't even try it because there are new versions coming out constantly.

Heh, yeah, I'm leaving that to rpcs3 ( https://code.google.com/p/rpcs3/ ).

RE: 0.8 released!
Congratulations Henrik, the emulator its pretty advanced for the time being in development and as you say UltraHLE ran nearly 20 games correctly ( the hint is in the name of the emu ) but the N64 had only that number of good games in contrast to the PSP which have plenty of them so....

I hope you continue with this enthusiasm....

RE: 0.8 released!
Even if somebody did make a PS3 emulator I doubt anybody would have a computer powerful enough to use it. Tongue

RE: 0.8 released!
It doesn't matter, emulation takes time and by the time a PS3 Emulator can fully emulate some commercial games you will already have the PC that will run it fine at 60 FPS. It happened to me with the PS2.

I remember when linuzapp was still coding the emu and the first commercial games run on it, it was a breakthrough I didn't think that PS2 emulation was possible, excited I tried my first compatible DvD game only to discover that it ran at 5 FPS and the emulation was pretty broken rendering the game almost unplayable.

Then when finally the game was fully emulated I already had a machine powerful enough to run it at 60 FPS on 3X the native res.

RE: 0.8 released!
Question,i'm new to the emulator and was wondering, does it support modded ISO's? like games containing hacks and stuff you know cause i'm a modder and that would make it easier rather than putting them back in the PSP console itself and all.

RE: 0.8 released!
If you mean mods like translations and benign things like that, sure, they'll probably work fine(I run a translated MH 2nd G/Project Diva 2nd/Monster Hunter 3rd HD), but if you mean mods to ISOs like prometheus patching(typically used back when the highest CFW was 5.50 and games needed to be patched to run), I wouldn't expect those types of ISOs to run well or at all.
