Ah I see, I thought all regions were incorporated on the same thread, sorry for the inconvenience.

Since English is not my first language sorry for some misspelling on my posts

Well, if regions have differing compatibilities with PPSSPP, or has other features the other ones don't (as JP releases often do, see MHFU vs. 2nd G), it makes sense to have more than one. No worries.

I have the same issue as described here : trying to load any of the unlockable games (original rondo or sotn or peke) is resulting in a crash.

Using European game release ULES00841

What version of PPSSPP are you using? It was fixed only recently.

RE: Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles US
I tried 0.9.5 & 0.9.6

I just tried latest git build and it's been fixed, the three bonus games can now be accessed, good job devs!

there is still some issues remaining, on sotn at least, emu will freeze at the end of any streamed cut-scene, for example in sotn, at the end of the opening konami logo stream, or at the end of the first stream when you start a new game, it's possible to skip these cut-scenes though so the bonus game remains playable, however there might be some unskippable streams later in the game, not sure.

RE: Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles US
Try using a git build (not an older official release like 0.9.6.)

Would it be possible for you to upload a savestate to post here, so that for those of us that are having trouble getting past the initial loading screen we can perhaps bypass it and just start directly at the SoTN title screen?

I beat the game without having many problems. As you said, the game hangs after a cutscene tries to finish but you can just skip them.

The emulator crashed a few random times during certain enemy skills (the Venus Weed was one) but I think that was a combination of playing for a long period of time, saving and loading savestates quite frequently, and using turbo because after I re-opened the emulator everything was fine.

And as someone had stated in the other thread, there are graphical glitches. Sword familiar being one of them and when entering or exiting a boss area.

Also, why isn't this in playable yet?

RE: Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles US
Side note: there WAS a thread simply called "castlevania dracula x chronicles" that the most discussion, which had been merged into a thread with a foreign version. It makes you question if we should merge regional threads or rename threads that don't indicate region, because right now there's a likelyhood of further disorganization.

RE: Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles US
That's why I renamed this one and the other one, to differentiate them. IIRC there was no merge in the other thread, it was just renamed. I could be wrong though.

Anyway, no, separate threads for regions are fine if the game's regions have compatibility differences. If none of the different regions of this game have compatibility differences or gameplay differences (differing game modes, characters, etc), then it might be merged with the other one.

RE: Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles US
I am not sure if the issue I am having is related to this particular game, but when I use the XBR filter, it seems to work for a lot of the game elements..except the character you play as. It's very jarring to see everything except Richter and Alucard using the filter, and that those characters look absolutely pixelated. Is this an issue with filtering in the emulator, an issue with the game, or an issue with one of my settings?

RE: Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles US
It's a known issue (https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/1934) and some more of the tech. details are here, if you're curious. There's not much you can do about it right now.
