RE: Stereoscopic 3D
Is there any progress regarding a stereoscopic feature yet?

Unfortunately, the modified .exe metioned on the pages before does not work at all (screen keeps black, freeze).

iZ3D was discontinued a couple of years ago and TriDef seems not to support PPSSPP at all ("no Direct3D used" message) :-(

So is there *any* way to play PSP games in stereoscopic view?

I use to play WipeOut using my 3D Beamer (try playing WipeOut or Tekken on a 3 meters wide screen -it's just ***** ROCKING AWESOME!!!! **** ).

Unfortunately, it's 2D only. Imagine, you could do so in stereoscopic 3D... wow! o.O

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
Yep, unfortunately can't get Direct3D ppsspp work with anaglyph output. At least for windows 10 x64.

Already tried:
- iz3d. Nor of stable and beta versions working. Not only in ppsspp, but in every program. Administrative rights, Windows 7/Xp compatibility , 640x480, Intel integrated card, Nvidia primary card didn't help.
- tridef. Nor of 7.0 or older 6.7 version. And nor for 64 bit or 32 bit ppsspp. Tridef seems like can't detect any of it's method to add 3D feature. I mean for pcsx2 it can't add Power3D and some other options, but something simple he still adds. For ppsspp it can't find anything.
- version some pages ago. Huge problem with fonts. Any language looks like Japanese so it very very very difficult to config. Nevertheless I launched tekken 6, didn't pass titles because of lack controller config but titles wasn't in red/cyan colors. Maybe it should be configured in settings but font issue killing this opportunity :*(

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
iz3d working like a charm on a 32-bit Windows Vista. Tried it's through VMware in Tekken 6.

Unfortunately, VMware don't use much of pc - for mine it was nearly 37% of CPU and nothing of GPU load, so gameplay was slow [but faster then jpcsp about 4 years ago :D]

Already tried:
- to install iz3d in compatibility mode with XP/Vista/7/8. Nothing but a BSOD had appeared.
- to install Vista or Linux near existing 64-bit Windows 10. And didn't find any way to install no one of them on GPT partition disk drive without complete format data.

I'm not sure but perhaps iz3d will work in Windows 7. Maybe if I had 64-bit version - it may be installed on GPT.
If not - then I should just erase all data and recreate disks in MBR partition instead of GPT.

There is no time for me, but it's surely AWESOME that there is a way to run ppsspp is anaglyph stereoscopic mode!!1 ^_____^

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
Finally tested iz3d anaglyph on windows 7 64 bit.
[thx to coursework program that didn't want to work under Windows 10 too and forced me to erase all and install with MBR partition]

iz3d is working good, smooth and fast with ppsspp and it's very beautifull! ^__^
Fighting, action and racing games never was so easy to play.

But it should be said that it's working only with non-buffered rendering.
And also requires some settings like 333 Mhz, disabling multithread, fast memory, and turning on some other typical settings for smoother animation.

Wow, that's awesome. Any chance of getting SBS for VR headsets?

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
BenMcLean,
since the last time lots of changes happen, thx to Henrik, [Unknown] and others for effort.

Now under windows 10 every game can be played with buffered rendering, with any shader
in Tridef and Directx11 output
[I saw a lot of stereoscopic modes here, so SBS VR headset should be supported as well]

Under windows 7 there is one more option - Tridef and iz3D
The last one require Directx9 rendering
There is no shader support
[only clean upscaled PSP's rendering]
And some games don't have some thnigs
[Sega Rally has a black sky]
But it''s easier, faster to configure beautiful deep result with very smooth gameplay

Under Linux - I saw on youtube Compiz with Anaglyph windows, desktop, notepad... Question is of course - can it run Wine anaglyph? Or can it run OpenGL native linux apps that way? Vulkan?

From my experience I can say in addition from previous posts that to get smooth 60fps on any windows is very tricky and it will be different from hardware to hardware and monitor as well.

I mean smooth like on powerful tablets or phones with Android and IPS displays, where VSync is always turned on, but without any input lag or stuttering.

For example - I have ASUS notebook with 60hz IPS shim display, there is Nvidia optimus
and for smooth gameplay I created a profile in Nvidia Inspector with config related to VSync, Pre-rendered frames, AA and etc.
but also for every DirectX, OpenGL, Tridef, or Iz3D render I duplicated that profile with one difference - of Frame Rate Limiter

All of that smooth config is working on Windows 7, but it has no effect on Vulkan rendering
However - under Windows 10 none of that settings is working as fast as on Windows 7, but Vulkan is much smoother [and some faster]

[Edit:]
Just reminded that 60fps=true of shader output
not actually solving, but still helps a lot in 30fps games to achieve very smooth gameplay

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
Ross Scott's video of a few years ago indicated that TriDef didn't work very well and that VorpX was the only good solution. Has that circumstance changed? TriDef has gotten better?

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
BenMcLean,
my anaglyph glasses are made of paper

I do not need head tracking, so
maybe that is why
from a very beginning for me was everything wonderful
and gets even better (:

But if you wanna progress comparison:
1) It was iz3D only, non-buffered, 2x PSP
2) Now it's iz3D, TriDef [and probably Compiz], buffered, 5xPSP, with shaders

on the very beginning not too much games was playable in non-buffered rendering
even those who was - without shaders wasn't enough pleasant to eyes[or upscaling]
also a lot of fixes have been applied to games
so that now they can be played without massive fps drops from place to place and without crashes [Katamari, Outrun, Sega Rally, etc.]

[Edit:]
Added some examples of ppsspp + Tridef in video gameplay thread

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
OK. I'll be looking forward to trying that when I get a headset (probably Windows Mixed Reality) and a PC good enough for it.

Games I want to try: Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Dissidia Final Fantasy and maybe the Grand Theft Auto games.
