PPSSPP Symbian Port
Hello everyone.

I have recently ported PPSSPP to Symbian. The frontend uses Qt and wraps around the existing GLES2 UI.

If you would like to try out a preliminary build, just message me.

If you have any feature requests or bug reports, please post them here.

Port details:
Works on: Nokia N8, C7, E6, E7, X7, 700, 701, 808 (any Symbian device that supports GL ES 2.0).
Developed on: Nokia N8, Nokia 808.

RE: PPSSPP Symbian Port
Sure, what action should bring back from game to menu?

On Blackberry, I use a back swipe (which is known as the back action on the system). Symbian doesn't have many buttons or any swipe actions though.

RE: PPSSPP Symbian Port
I'm assuming roughly 10x speedup with the ARM JIT.

how about camera button? Is it possible to assign it as as back key?

It is possible but it's not very intuitive and people may want to use it to quickly take a photo?
Also, I believe I'll need to sign the app to use those permissions.

I think we are looking for a 2x increase with the arm jit, based on my tests with windows version, that's a lot. Smile

I don't mean the current status of the JIT. I mean the changes that will come with it. It should be especially noticeable on slower devices like mobile phones because this is where they are limited.
On your PC, this is likely not so much of a bottleneck.

For the record, speed has already doubled in v0.5 (from v0.4) across the board for all Symbian devices. Games that were 10 FPS now show 20 FPS, for example. Unrelated to JIT though.

Yea, i think there will be some drawback, (i don't think people want to use camera while playing ;p, also don't we need to hold camera button to launch camera, do we? ) also it is not big issue about the back to menu, so it is up to you to implement it, the emulator already near rocking.
thanks.
