Do devs figure out how to fix digital speedometers issue?

Hi, where is this 2xSSAA option? I just see Texture Filtering for Auto, Nearest, Linear and Linear(CG).

It has been changed to Anti Aliasing in the newer builds.

RE: Ridge Racer 2
Those are ones I've tried, but the artificating is still there with buffered rendering on? Something I've missed?

Are you sure? Look closely.

It makes mine worse. Here's my settings, too. ATI card, btw. Incase that's the fault.

EDITS:
Oh, I found out what it was. I noticed you were playing in a higher resolution, so I copied that and it worked. I had it set to 2x Rendering Resolution and most of the artifacts go away if I set to 3 or 4. There's a few in the middle of the screen, but it looks like you have those, too?

And it crashes a lot now! Gah! Smile

I've got an ATI/AMD card too as you can see from my signature. The game does not crash for me with my settings, for your reference:-

Code:
[CPU]
Jit = True
FastMemory = True
CPUSpeed = 0
[Graphics]
ShowFPSCounter = 3
DisplayFramebuffer = False
ResolutionScale = 3
BufferedRendering = True
HardwareTransform = True
TextureFiltering = 4
SSAA = True
VBO = False
FrameSkip = 0
FrameRate = 2000
ForceMaxEmulatedFPS = 60
AnisotropyLevel = 4
VertexCache = True
FullScreen = False
StretchToDisplay = False
TrueColor = True
MipMap = False
TexScalingLevel = 1
TexScalingType = 0
TexDeposterize = False
VSyncInterval = False
FullScreenOnLaunch = False
FramebuffersToMem = False
FramebuffersCPUConvert = False
RenderingMode = 1

Give it a shot. It's pretty much optimized for all sorts of games.

RE: Ridge Racer 2
I looked up the things in the ATI thread and it said to disable Catalyst AI. I couldn't find an option to disable but I googled and it said that setting it to Quality would be like turning it off. It's worked so far and hasn't crashed. Thanks.

Ah right, that could also be a factor. Yep, turning it off helps all ATI cards in PPSSPP.

RE: Ridge Racer 2
Actually, I tell a lie. It was fine with most courses, except the first one. When I drive along the beach section, it crashes nearly every time. This happens with your settings too : ( I'll have to experiment tomorrow. Tired, zzzz.

You never did mention the model of your ATI card, so I've no idea what could be the exact problem.

If you're on a legacy card like mine, you should use the 11.11a drivers that I recommended in the ATI thread.

The latest drivers may not always be the best thing, especially when it comes to PPSSPP.

Sorry, it's an Asus Radeon HD 6670 1GB GDDR5. I'm using the 13.4 drivers.

Okay, that's a start.

Hmm, the only thing left I can suggest would be to try another set of drivers, since you've already tried my settings, and also disabled Catalyst AI in the CCC and it still crashes.

Try the latest 13.8 BETA drivers here.
