RE: Brooktown High
People are reporting different results:

Try changing settings, some have said "Skip Buffer Effects" helps it work, but generally it seems broken (possibly depth related):

Moving to Menu/Intro based on that.

RE: Brooktown High
It's 2019!
Is the black screen issue fixed by the latest build (1.8.0) finally?

RE: Brooktown High
On modern desktop* at least you should be able to use software rendering to play this.
How many years pass doesn't matter in OSS projects, you can stop counting, this game as mentioned in it's issue on git does something unique and pretty awful, in fact it does more than one awful thing at once, even if it can get eventually emulated it might be too slow or simply not work as expected on outdated/weaker hardware with buggy drivers.

*(I don't have the game to say how heavy it is, but by modern desktop I basically mean one with CPU as powerful with as many cores as you can get which excels at multi-core processing ~ AMD cpu's starting from Ryzen have much more value in that kind of workload ~ since doing graphics in software while can abuse multi-core cpu's pretty well, is also very demanding)
