PPSSPP Wireless Xbox 360 Issue

OK so my friend tried to play Peace Walker with me and he had this strange issue, His analog sticks inputs just stopped working and his buttons (A,B,X,Y) were flipped, same with D-Pad, He tried multiple controllers and all failed and I've scoured the web for answers, Any help or is he just that unlucky?

Did you do it in same room? or did you using netplay?
Version of game (PAL/NTSC/Jpn)?
