Question Legality of CFW software on PSP consoles
[Continuation of "Legality of using the PPSSPP emulator and CFW"] Does the 660Pro-C-fix3 software bypass data encryption in the PSP console, to allow access to the UMD game files?
also, SONY, as stated at 6.6 of their Software Usage Terms, has a rule that states "You must not use any means to bypass or disable any encryption, security, or authentication mechanism for the Authorised Systems or any Software, or to gain unauthorised access or to interfere with any account, service, hardware, software or network connected to the PSN.". Does this also include the PSP device and/ or the Patapon 3 UMD disk?
I don't wish to break any possible rule that includes using the 660Pro-xC-fix3 CFW to access UMD game files.

RE: Legality of CFW software on PSP consoles
Any unauthorized modification to the PSP software will likely break the terms of service and ultimately void your warranty. Now is this illegal? No it is not because, this modification is for personal use. Now, if this modification was done with the purpose of distributing copies of games to others, then it would be illegal as that is textbook piracy.
