Tactics ogre : Let us cling together

This is really amazing, it's so nice to be able to play my PsP again after the thing broke a few years ago. Sadly I do keep running into an issue with Tactics Ogre though. After the first 'battle' in the beginning of the game (The first conversation with Lanselot Hamilton) ends and they all go off-screen the emulator will crash every time.

I have no idea if I've done something wrong, but I'd greatly appreciate help. It's so sad to be teased with one of my favorite games of all time like that. ^-^;
