@Accel can't really get any easier than it already is;p, just dump sad SD textures:

use any skills you might have to get/make better textures, make use of an ini file to avoid duplicates as needed and replace with happy HD textures:

The only hard part in this feature is when you realize you spend some time to edit few textures just to improve looks of your character and now it doesn't fit the game anymore:X

RE: Texture Replacement
I might be bad at explaining things, but the instructions I left here should be simple enough to at least be able to start, did you at least tried?;3

The only scary thing really is that this feature does require manual work ~ potentially lots of it, so it's a huge downside comparing to automatic texture scaling and certainly not for everyone. However it gives you a total control and you can archieve pretty much any result you want, just correcting tiny artifacts or remastering whole game.

RE: Texture Replacement
I think I heard the word "video" (I think), being thrown around. Is it possible to dump videos (into frames ofc)?

RE: Texture Replacement
Yes. This must be present in the ini:

Code:
[options]
video = True

It will dump each frame and you can do whatever you want to them. On some weaker devices, smooth video playback may be an issue. Haven't really tested this.

I think for Kiwami textures you could try and rip them from the (horrid) PC port, i tried to do this myself but the game doesn't exist for x86 computers, but it should be possible since i saw some d3d9 dlls on the game's folder.

RE: Texture Replacement
^That was already using some pc version textures;p, through extracted from game archives instead of ripping and also edited since some of them use different UV maps.

About the PC port of TK it's not as clear as you might think. Most hate this game got came from youtubers fighting for 60fps in games(oh irony most games they actually earn adsense money from and end up promoting are much worse at pretty much everything fps and optimization included with tragic content per price ratio ~ like all the unity engine cash grabs) and was very unfair, some people were literally buying this game just to get negative review admitting they will not even download it, then refunding. This ultimately killed the support for this game on pc and people who had problems aka nvidia gpu's owners(always worked fine on amd) have to resort to some workarounds.
Pretty much once steam added distinction between total and new reviews, promoting the latter ones it looks much better than it was and trully it wasn't a "horrid" port to begin with. Sure some people got disappointed it doesn't work on 10 year old hardware like psp version does through ppsspp, others that it's not a Monster Hunter game, but in reality neither of those things should even be compared. In the end it's pretty much a standard PS4 port with some extra graphic settings, but without any super duper fireworks added, which still makes it best version of the game thanks to ability to mod stuff even without official support for it.

Going back to textures I used ~ this tool to extract them, through I only did it for the fun of trying it and to give funny example because psp version of this game have just awful textures even comparing to other psp games.:]

That because PS4 use AMD, I think its the GPU

Yep, AMD for both the CPU and GPU, actually.

RE: Texture Replacement
Funny thing that always happens to one brand or another, can't remember last pc game which was optimized for one brand without messing up another ~ modern marketing;p.

Either way I decided to translate some menus by replacements(because why not;p) and I think I found first bug:

Notice "new game" twice with the second one having original texture in the upper left corner? Well this happens when address and clut is same and only texture hash differs and we replace just one of them, in this particular example
040cc00000241219d14b9950 // new game which was replaced
040cc0000024121953033e9c // carry over savedata menu aka the second new game which wasn't touched

I kind of found it accidently when correcting one of them as everything works fine when both textures get replaced

(and yeah I know there is no "quit" there;p it just looks nicer than "download" which also wouldn't work)

RE: Texture Replacement
Kinda did a similar thing with God Eater 2 XD

The sad thing is I cant get the NPCs' texture to pop-up (unless there's a way that I didnt know about)

RE: Texture Replacement
When you're not sure what texture something uses you can use GE debugger(I guess windows only) and "step tex" through a whole frame that shows particular object/npc observing after which texture passes, the object shows on the screen.

Yeah, well I wrote what I thought it was, but actually God Eater 2 might just be messed up, it loads lots of textures to addresses like 086cb8f0 and around that's neither user memory (0x08800000 + 24mb) nor vram(0x04000000 + 2mb..?) and I think those are the only places textures should be.
Kind of weird, but since that game is broken and has problem with memory management, maybe it's part of it. Another edit: ~ yeah well removing this this would dump those textures, but I don't think we want that... this game really is broken.>.>

Right now, God Eater 2 is really broken. Black screen when launching mission. I also (accidentally) found another bug where if you try making a new character and then cancel, it just black screen

Ill wait until God Eater 2 work like it was previously before I make big texture changes

--Edit--
Another thing I want to report/tell. Each time I change my clothings, new textures appear (eyes, skin, etc) XD

Well when it released i was assaulted by my friends crapping on the port like they had eaten laxatives with pepper, not being able to play it myself i had to trust their "opinion", regardless, i couldn't find that tool when i tried to get the textures, very handy.
