I'm on win7 64bit and am using the drivers that just came out yesteday. PPSSPP version is latest git date of this post. Everytime I choose it, ppsspp crashes. Anything I can do or just wait?

Also, i was talking to one of the Qualcomm moderators on their forum and i asked about if "Dual Source Blending" could be implemented in their drivers for Vulkan and GLES, they replied :
"We are tracking this extension for possible future support in our drivers (both GLES and Vulkan). Thanks for requesting it."

Vulkan headers and libraries are shipped to Fedora. I was able to compile vulkan related GPU files. Maybe it's time to allow vulkan in Linux?

Seriously, what is going on with Vulkan? Can't play any game with Vulkan enabled with my R9 270X... God of War crashes, DBZ shows broken graphics etc..

Nothing's happening;p, it's simply unfinished and likely will be for a while. Vulkan promises performance, but nothing comes for free, it requires much more work to display graphics with it and it's not exactly easy to implement Vulkan based backend to emulators which deal with complex graphics. To make things worse the primary platform which will use it(android) is known for terrible drivers and until latest android version didn't even had working Vulkan drivers.

In other words do NOT use Vulkan to play games, only UI and simpler games would display stuff in it anyway since it doesn't even have buffered rendering yet, it's only enabled for testing and to make adding stuff for it easier.

When actually playing games you have OGL/GLES and on modern windows versions(8+) you also have DX11(not finished yet, but already really nice and fast, great for AMD users which otherwise have to use 2015 drivers for OGL due to all new ones being buggy), eventually on ancient windows based hardware/os also DX9(which is inferior, but better than nothing;p) so use one of those backends instead.

I know it's hard to implement Vulkan based beckend, but it's already been done on Dolphin, and it shows graphics and works just fine.

Why do people want it so badly? Its not like it will increase performance by 8000%. Specially for emulators, where most job is CPU side.
