RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
Tom Clancy's Advanced Warfare 2 (I think it's that one, tried a bunch of Tom Clancy's games recently) doesn't work, get a big grey box cover screen, have to use non buffered and then it shows, but very dark.

(Eh probably not the right place to post this but meh)

Buffered doesn't work yet (in fact I would expect it to crash), so that's not surprising Smile

RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
Before I updated the drivers PPSSPP didn't allow me to choose Vulkan. Now it let me do it, but after that the emulator crashes every time I open it.

My GPU is a Nvidia 820M (I think is compatible with Vulkan) and Intel HD 4600.

vulkaninfo.exe says I have 1.0.5 version of Vulkan.

RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
just tried the latest build
v1.2.2-253-g861a30a Henrik Rydgard 2016-04-02 11:06:39

and on my nvidia shield android TV, I get an upside down screen with a weird font.
It seems the only backend is vulkan. buggy build or april fools? :-)

PPSSPP is open source. If you don't like waiting, contribute. If you don't want to contribute (don't say can't, everyone can, just takes effort), then be patient.

RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
You don't need to know how to write code, you just need to take the time to learn it.
If you have enough motivation, nothing can stop you (and this apply for everything, not just coding...) Wink

By the time I'd be able to learn how to program such things you guys might be working on a VITA emulator by then lol it's all good, just eager to see how things will look for the future!

RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
What's actual Vulkan header on S7? Is it something like 0.0.1?

The vulkan drivers on S7 seem very preliminary. But haven't even gotten it working on my Shield TV yet, not quite sure what's going on..

RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
Oh, that's interesting.. Shield has a number of working demos so I thought it's perfectly fine. I wonder if there might be some lack of features, at this point Vulkan looks as much fragmented to me as GL ES: http://ow.ly/10vk4x
