RE: Final Fantasy III
Runs perfectly and in HD! On 0.9.9.1 with Win7 Professional 64 Bit SP1, Intel i5 4460 (4CPUs) @3,2GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, nvidia GTX750 1GB GDDR5-RAM.
Looks even better than the steam version and I can use my PS2 Controller. xD
The Cartoon Postprocessing shader gives it even a nice childs book look like in "Super Maro World 2:Yoshi's Island" for example.
Only issue is the sound it cracks from time to time but I already got used to it with emulaters. ^^
Love this emulator more and more. Big Grin

RE: Final Fantasy III
I tried this game out last night. I was really impressed by it. The graphics are around 2000-ish PS1 level, instead of the 16-bit graphics one would expect. There are no voiceovers (but that's okay because I don't care about that). I'm really impressed with it so far- no errors, no issues, no bugs that I could see. Runs smooth, works perfectly.

You might have a tad bit of trouble tracking it down, since it was only released for the Playstation Network as downloadable content. It seems someone has figured a way around that, though. Smile

RE: Final Fantasy III
I have been playing this game with your emulator and it is really nice, much better than my PSP! The only problem I have been having is with the CWCheat data base. Something to do with one of the magic codes in it prevents me from using magic out of battle. When I do it crashes the emulator even after I turn the cheats off and restart the emulator.

This prevents progress though the game once you get to the goblin village part because you have to shrink your party down using the "mini" spell. I think it is probably one of these 2 cheats that is doing it, but I'm not totally sure;

MP Doesn't Decrease
0x20051590 0x91040001
0x20106310 0x24040063

No MP Needed For Spells
0x2006C5F4 0x24050063
0x20106310 0x24040063

Is there a way to turn the codes off and save the game somehow and have the codes removed from the save file? Or do i just have to start all over again with no cheats? Tongue

RE: Final Fantasy III
Region - US
Format - ISO
Version - v1.1.1
Game ID - [NPUH10125]
OS - Windows Vista 32-bit
Compatibility - Not Playable

When I load the game, I get a black screen. Not even the crystal at the bottom right shows up. When I press esc the save/load states screen appears, as well as the art background for FF III. Any help would be appreciated.

I've tried tweaking numerous settings as well, to no avail.

RE: Final Fantasy III
Can you try clicking Debug -> Log Console? Is anything interesting showing there?

It sounds to me like you may have a bad rip. But I'd also suggest trying the latest git build instead. For me, FF3 is working fine in the latest git build with mostly default settings.

You were correct once again Smile The rip process was bad that time. Everything is in working order now. I even resolved two additional issues: one with textures showing up as blacked out squares where the actual texture should be, and text coming up garbled up.

I turned off Hardware transform and that fixed the issues. Rendering at 4x PSP also makes everything look crisper (most notably the characters). 5 or higher starts to zoom in the actual screen/image.

omg psobb still exists? what server is that?

Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller.

RE: Final Fanatasy III Dialogs problems
i did try Ephinea seams they tweaked the game to suit moder pc/windows more idk how ultima works but ephinea works quite good
and they promote them self with "characters are never deleted" i think i gonna go with that
but i will check ultima other day

btw if you want to play pso2 http://arks-layer.com

but trust me pso bb is better if we talk about gameplay pso2 is s better in all mechanics and graphic but music there even so its good its not as good as in pso bb
