Horizon ghost is disappearing at Buffered Rendering OFF.
Still soft foggy or incorrect screen color,
"Save State File..." is clearing screen color correctly.

Screen shot add (Test at v0.8.1-88-gcff69a3-windows-amd64).

The game now has dark textures and freezing at this point

Game should be moved to playable. I'm using v0.9.7.1, but it's been playable for a few revisions (as far back as v0.9.5, IIRC). The only problems I noticed is sound problems during the story narration (which can be skipped), and that the framerate drops when a lot of stuff happens on screen.
