RE: Hammerin' Hero
The game has missing characters since 2 months ago or so.
So now is unplayable.

It happens in Android and in Windows too.

RE: Hammerin' Hero
Just joined so I could post the solution. Simply enable "Always Depth Write" in the options menu under "Hack Settings" and the sprites will appear just fine. Just be sure to turn it off again when switching to another game as it WILL cause issues.

RE: Hammerin Hero - Bug !!
There's already a thread for this game in here(we keep 1 thread per game here).

Anyway good and bad news for you - bad is that you'll have to wait(pff that's not bad at all;p), good that you'll have a rare chance of knowing when it get's fixed by looking at this pull request, basically once this code get's finished and merged into master that blackscreen problem of this game should disappear as can be seen in here(jp version, but clearly same game = same issue).

RE: Hammerin' Hero
I'm using the original PSP fonts (or so the download said) and the text in this game seem to be too wide causing the words to be too close together.

Any ideas?

The first image is how I see it, the second image is how it should be.

*edit*
The game seems to be using its own custom font, so having the original PSP fonts doesn't do anything. But the text is still too close together.

RE: Hammerin' Hero
Could you upload a log of a session with you playing, up until some text appears on the screen? It'll be easier to figure out what's wrong if we can see how the game is using fonts. If you're on Windows, it'd be beneficial if you ran it with a debug logging level (just run DebugLog.bat from a git build, assuming you're on Windows. If not, try running PPSSPP with a -d command-line argument so it spits out a debug log).

I did the DebugLog.bat, but the log file is like 200 megs! Should I upload that or do you need a specific part of it?

You could try the game yourself too, you get text right after starting the game.

RE: Hammerin' Hero
It will naturally be quite large. If you compress it down with a rar, zip, or 7zip, it should be a lot more manageable. I don't think Henrik, Unknown, or I (I definitely do not) have this game, so it's not so easy as just trying it. Smile

Well... that size sure went down a lot!

Here's the log:

Let me know if that's what you needed or if I need to try again.

RE: Hammerin' Hero
Looks to be fine, thanks. I'll open an issue on Github for it. I know our font code isn't 100% perfect, but it's better than it was a couple months ago..

Edit: The issue I created is here: https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/5960.

RE: Hammerin' Hero
No sorry, my PSP broke. But this place has a lot of Hammerin Hero screenshots taken with a real PSP:
http://www.vazcomics.org/gamend/psp/haherpsp.htm

And I have a save state at the ending I could use for comparison purposes.

There's a similar hard-to-read text issue with R-Type Command too, if you want to look around further:

I reported the issue after posting here. Should have said something about it to save you the trouble of making another report. Sorry TheDax!

RE: Hammerin' Hero
Yeah, I found out the "hard way", lol. It's okay. Hopefully fixing this game's fonts will improve others too.
