@Boondock Saint, @zenmoron you're welcome. Unfortunately real fix might not be coming soon, so have fun with workaround.Smile

@Boondock Saint - don't have "Gangs of London", from info on git seems ppsspp is completely missing whole feature that's used by that game, can't really tell if the game could be forced to work without rewriting lots of it's code. Even if, it could end up harder to do than the missing feature itself, you'll just have to wait for that. There's always lots of work on ppsspp, so unfortunately the wait is sometimes pretty long.

RE: Bleach: Soul Carnival - Updated -
After a lot of time, this game is still not working for me. When I try to get into the Menu In-Game, the game just freezes along the emulator, until you go to Emulation > Stop :/ ...

v1.2.2-783, Windows 8.1 x64, tried with both renderers and it's no use.
Does someone have a fix? :/ ..

~You'll find a cwc workaround at the end of post #29 ~ literally a few posts earlier. Shame people choose to ask and wait potentially long time for an answer before at least browsing games threads when those have all past information, including potential problems and workarounds;p.

You mean those CWCheats? Tried them and didn't worked, that's why I've posted.

Well, it sure works fine for me and I'm pretty sure it also worked to other people that used it, so you're either have a different version of the game which changed game elf and would require different cheat or are new to using CWcheats and made one of the 2 mistakes that apparently sometimes happen to new people:
- just enabled cheats in system menu which doesn't really activate cheats, only enables the built-in cheat engine with it's menu to show up and the cheats themselves still have to be activated in cheat menu,
- activated [Disable] cheat which as the name clearly points out is actually disabling the actual patch and since it's lower on the list even when activating both nothing would happen.

Also just to note cwcheat workaround is not the only thing listed there, the same post that has cwcheat workaround also links to:
- exact code which changing would fix those games(in a hackish way) - which by itself is a workaround you could try - just less convenient aka requiring custom build,
- post which has such custom build for windows with an example code how to add the above workaround as an optional hack,
- it's issue on git where the actual problem was discussed, through nobody really as of yet found a way to fix it properly.

And the 2nd one was it.
In my defense I said that I rushed through it with a reason, but yeah, totally my fault. Thanks for pointing it out.

EDIT:
Nvm, I seriously thought it was it, but It's still not working.

The only thing I did was:
-Enabling Cheats
-And then pasted these 3 lines into the "UCJS10085.ini" file:
_C0 Hang Workaround
_L 0xE0010003 0x001C6CB4
_L 0x201C6CB4 0x34070001

I try to get into the Menu, the music speeds up, the screen goes black, nothing changed.

EDIT2:
Also tried pasting it like this, still isn't working:
_S UCJS-10085
_G Bleach: Soul Carnival
_C0 Hang Workaround
_L 0xE0010003 0x001C6CB4
_L 0x201C6CB4 0x34070001

RE: Bleach: Soul Carnival - Updated -
Well as far as I can tell it works in latest ppsspp version just as it was when I made it, so you sure you have same game version ~ UCJS10085? I initially thought that was the only release of this game myself, but looking here that's far from true and it had multiply releases from Korea to China. If your version is different and you're on windows you could follow the guide under cwcheat posted here then post the address you find here(yeah it's a different game, but althrough doesn't look like it, either runs on same engine or at least shares some portion of it).

If your game version is same, maybe it was patched if you're on windows you could also check it with game activated open Debug->disassembly(or just ctrl+D) and paste 089C6CB4 in the top left "go to" input box then confirm with enter, with cheat properly activated you should see something like:

the difference if cheat wasn't activated(ignoring potential coloring changes of disassembly itself;p) would be in highlighted line only which would show "slti a3,a1,0x3" which if you for sure have activated maybe could be pointing to some unknown system specific problem with cheat activation.:|

If however everything is different, it should be treated as different game version and would also need it's own cheat so you can follow the guide linked earlier as well.

In case the cheat however is activated and you can see it exactly as on the screenshot above, then I'm a bit clueless, as that's the only freeze I knew this game had for a while and that cheat avoids the whole problem completely. Could as well be a different problem, maybe corrupted iso or loading the game from savestate made in older ppsspp version.

Edit: or actually scrap that, I missed what you wrote here:

and again that's not activating cheats;p, as I wrote in previous post enabling cheats merely activates ppsspp cheat engine and shows cheat menu, you have to enter cheat menu and activate the cheats inside.
So pause the game when it runs or right click/hold/triangle the game icon on the list and choose "Cheats", there you will see a list of cheats you have for the game there just click on the cheat which you want activated which will "tick" the square near it's name.
Also if you have no cheats on the list, if you're on non-mobile platform in new ppsspp versions there should be an option called "edit cheat file" which you can use to open correct ini file by basic system text editor.
I think we just need a better guide than this, with all info in one post with screenshots.

Now that was it. Thanks, it works.
