Question AMD TRINITY VS INTEL PROCESSOR I5
whether amd trinity comparable with intel proccessor i5?
is amd trinity strong enough to run game that required intel proccessor i5?

intel proccessor i5 that i mean:
Quad Core, 3.4 GHz, 84W, 6MB Cache, Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600, Socket LGA1150 , cost: usd 250

amd trinty that i mean:
Quad Core, 3.8 GHz, 100W, 4MB Cache, Integrated AMD Radeon HD 7660D, Socket FM2, cost : usd 138

why am i asking this? because i want to buy one of them in the future ,amd trinity is cheaper than intel proccesor i5. but i'm doubt amd trinity comparable with intel proccesor i5.

NOTE: BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.

my pc version:
windows 7 ultimate

my pc specs :
intel(R) core(TM)2 duo cpu
E7500 @2,93GHz
2,93GHz, 2,00 GB of RAM

sorry for bad english, i'm indonesian.

I'm not sure which you're exactly looking at, but nearby ones:

As far as I know, Intel completes trashes AMD even at lower clocks this generation. That said, I think the integrated graphics are probably better.

RE: AMD TRINITY VS INTEL PROCESSOR I5
Here's a comparable i5: (2.4 Ghz)
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/cpu-c....html?prod[5855]=on&prod[5772]=on

If you can find it for a decent price, a Intel Core i3-4330 might be a better option. Or maybe a Intel Core i3-4130.

I would just look for benchmarks for a game you'd like to play.

Well there is no such thing as DDR5, so that decision should be easy

RE: AMD TRINITY VS INTEL PROCESSOR I5
DDR5 is not made yet, the first DDR4 RAM was manufactured like last year and is barely used anywhere yet, so where would DDR5 come from?

If you don't believe me google it yourself. Here's a hint this exists http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GDDR5
and this exists http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR4_SDRAM
But this doesn't http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR5_SDRAM

RE: AMD TRINITY VS INTEL PROCESSOR I5
lol, you can't buy cheap consumer grade DDR4, the server DDR4 is waaaay to expensive, so take the one with GDDR5.(edit: well it is at reasonable prices now I guess) I'm still not sure why you are asking hypothetical questions, I'm sure no one is actually advertising to sell you DDR4 consumer devices that are cheaper or competitive with GDDR5.

If you are comparing 2 devices then tell us which and we can help you decide

RE: AMD TRINITY VS INTEL PROCESSOR I5
If you're interested in prospecting on the future of computer memory, here's a decent place to start:
http://www.tech-faq.com/4-amazing-new-me...ecade.html

I for one am quite hopeful for memristors to make some noise in the coming years.

If you're not asking about the future, any video card that claims to have "DDR5" actually means "GDDR5", I'm sure.
