Possible Way for Homebrew to Load?
I've been wondering...

If PPSSPP can't read EBOOTs, but can read ISOs, why not not convert EBOOTs to ISOs then? In theory, it should work.

Over the past hour, I converted a simple Hello World EBOOT to ISO through some apps (see below). I transferred the test ISO to my Xperia Play R800x, but no dice. Sad

Here's what I did:

I used UMDGen v4.00, an Eboot to ISO converter, an old Hello World app that I "made" a while ago (I can't program Blush), and a reference ISO.

I took my Hello World EBOOT, put it through the EBOOT 2 ISO application, made an ISO image out of the output with UMDGen (and a reference ISO to mimic the file structure), and copied that to my X-Play.

No dice, but we may have a possible solution here until EBOOT support comes along. Big Grin

(Btw, would it be OK if I posted the newly made, but failed, Hello World ISO here?)

RE: Possible Way for Homebrew to Load?
It actually does load eboots and it does load homebrew. Still a cool idea though... I wonder if it changes the outcome.

RE: Possible Way for Homebrew to Load?
Weird idea. PPSSPP can load EBOOTs with no problems AFAIK and I don't think changing it into an ISO would change compatibility whatsoever.
Maybe your ISO just doesn't work the same way as the EBOOT doesn't work, which means the game is just not working yet. Tongue
