Atrac Media Engine

Atrac Media Engine
1. When atrac files are injected into an ISO file to replace the original ones(music modding), it returns an error declaring "atracID uses different codec type than data" and the new music is not played. Files were created by Goldwave 5.58 in wav atrac 66kb format. Earlier 0.8 version does not get this problem, however. Could you please improve the media engine so that It could play user-introduced music?
2. In-game sound volume changing function does not work.
Both questions are regarding ULJS00377, no other game has been tested.

RE: Atrac Media Engine
If the game uses atrac3, you need to use atrac3. If the game uses atrac3+, you need to use atrac3+. It won't work on a real psp either.

RE: Atrac Media Engine
Sorry, but I converted music files into the exact format that can be played on a physical PSP and older versions of PPSSPP. The only problem is newer version cannot. Maybe the media engine has been changed?

RE: Atrac Media Engine
Where's the boundary between "older" versions that can play them, and "newer" versions that can't? We recently added some extra validation of Atrac3 files which fixed some issues with games that played invalid data as atrac.

According to my test, v0.8.1-997 is the last version that could correctly identify and play Goldwave-edited at3 files. In the log console, it displays "setAtrac.cpp:1107 this is an atrac3 stereo audio" and smoothly play the audio file. However, from 0.91-997, PPSSPP begins to display "setAtrac.cpp:1233 atracID uses different codec type than data", muting the audio file. Thanks very much for your help.Smile
