RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. I use the ip address form the host phone( which is found settings-aboutphone-status ip address). Both phones need to have the same ip from the host renamed in the ppsspp.ini file.

heres my issue I'm trying to ad hoc with final fantasy tactics. Both phones will search but cant find each other. Be for downloading the server app it would just freeze when I tried to search.

Any ideas would help.
Thanks

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
If you're using Portable Wifi Hotspot of your android device (host), use 192.168.43.1 IP address.

Using your phone's IP address is only required when you're connected via Router.

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
Unfortunately, the original author of the missing thread only provided/wrote Windows and Android version of AdhocServer. So it's not possible for now.

As far as I know, PPSSPP for ios also have the ppsspp.ini file somewhere in the file system, and there is a way to enable Portable wifi hotspot of the device, google said.
But there isn't any AdhocServer for ios available. :/

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
is it hd ver. or not?

In HD version, you just have to uncheck "fast memory" option under system settings.

In non-HD version, you have to provide the decrypted PAUTH files from your PSP and copy it to your mnt/sdCard/PAUTH.
Im sure it is illegal to share those files as it came from the UMD/ISO itself.Tongue

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
How many files are there inside the folder? [it have to be 45]

I believe, the old PAUTH provided by the users was only for the game to run (Certain UI, etc)
The files needed for ad-hoc multiplayer is not included there.

Also uncheck your FAST MEMORY option.

RE: [Tutorial] Android-Host LocalMultiplayer using PortableWifiHotspot
It this fails, you won't be able to enter online gathering hall(1) or you will be alone inside, but with menu(2)

You said there is no menu, I think you entered offline Gathering hall.
Or.... I cant understand your statement completely, can u upload a screenshot.

[have you tried MonsterHunter3rd multiplayer on PSP before?]
If not (I'm just guessing your problem) After your sister acquired a quest 2players or above setting. Go to the BOARD on the left side of the merchant, you can join her quest there. Before starting the quest, you must "ready" status first before letting your sister start it.

I tried to reproduce that freezing problem, and this what I got:
- Check your ppsspp.ini if your AdhocServer was correctly typed.
- You must Start your Android's Portable Wi-fi Hotspot, not Wi-Fi if youre hosting the server.
- Not as Server? Your Using 192.168.43.1 but you are connected to a router.
(overall, wrong adhocserver IP makes it freeze)
Other errors:
- Fast Memory checked - It works normally, but sometimes it crash mostly on the 2nd attempt to enter.
- Communications Error message - Adhocserver.apk isn't working in the background; Not Connected to a wifi network or Forgot to start PortableWifi Hotspot.
(ppsspp v0.9.8.865 but Playstore Version is fine too)

Sry, I dont have Tekken6
I think there's a specific build needed fot it to work.
Just check the Tekken6 Online Thread, Multiplayer Freeze/Crash/Errors often the same no matter what is the connection you're using.
