PCSX2 android??

RE: PCSX2 android??
I think instead of making an emulator to run on android and iOS
Sony and Nintendo should port games to Android and iOS like rockstar did GTA
GTA lc, vc, and sa are all ps2 games but they run fine on my phone...
Why can't more games be ported to android and iOS??
I mean its possible...
Vice city, etc are proof that its possible...
I would love games like
Budokai 3 or wwe or silent hill or any other ps2 games on my phone or ipad

My specs
Huawie Honor 4C
Octa-Core 1.2 GHz
2GB Ram
Mali 450 mp GPU
720x1280 pixels
Current Version : 1.2.2
Low end phones

They ported from PC not from ps2. (also this is offtopic.)

PC Specs:
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6700 3.2 Ghz
4gb ddr3 ram
Geforce GTS 450 1 GB DDR3
Windows 7 x64

RE: PCSX2 android??
What is more likely to happen, PS2 emulation on smartphones or UFO coming to earth?

RE: PCSX2 android??
UFO is more likely....
I don't think its possible to emulate ps2 on android... Yet -_-
Most phones and tabs struggle to run ppsspp...
Even if someone took the time to sit and dev the emu
It'll be a few years before we'd be able to run anything smoothly
Maybe in the near future it could be possible...
But honestly there'd be too many on screen buttons Lol

Dream on :3

This is PS2..
Compared to PSP, this one is much more Graphically intensive when it comes to graphics processesing so probably it'll take much more time for devs. out there to code and release a legit emulator for androids :/

RE: PCSX2 android??
I'm not quite sure how latest ARM SoC's perform compared to Bay Trail Atoms but I got a few less demanding PS2 games running at fullspeed on pcsx2 on my Asus Vivotab Note 8 with a Atom Z3740 Quadcore clocked at 1.3ghz.
Monster Hunter for example runs at steady 50-60fps, so it's playable.
Final Fantasy X only gets fullspeed in certain areas, but it's still playable though.

Activating Multi-Threaded VU gives quite a nice speedboost on CPU's with more than 2 cores.

On my old Vivotab Me-400C with a Clover Trail Dualcore it was just a pain in the ass...

Sure PCSX2 is optimized for X86, so it takes a entire rewrite of the recompilers to get it right on ARM.

RE: PCSX2 android??
I think current available ARM processors like Tegra 4 or the Snapdragon 800 are already fast enough to emulate some PS2 games at full speed.
Problem is just that nobody bothered about porting PCSX2 to ARM.

Well, funny that the dolphin arm port is quite slow in any game? So it's probably because it would be slow anyway and that there's WAY too much work to put into porting pcsx2, no?

I am not interested in Android gaming but Dolphin is slow on Android foremost because phone GPUs are weak and drivers are bad.

RE: PCSX2 android??
There actually is a pcsx2 emu for android, don't know how fast it is cuz its super unpopular and theres no videos online for it. Also I dont know how run it, tried Transformers - The Game, which is compatible to the original pcsx2. It show the iso in the downloads but I can't run it, download it and see if you can work it and send a message to me, here's the link: (forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PCSX2-Android-APP) add http:// to it.
only
copy the the actual link not the stuff before and after it
also scroll down and tap on *Get it Here* not *Grab it Here* and see if it actually works, make sure you have PS2 Isos that really work with others, anyways, there ya go

RE: PCSX2 android??
The last post on this thread before you necro'd it was 3 years ago. There was nothing in a semi running state then for PS2 emulators. Play! does run, but it's super slow with practically all games on Android right now.

RE: PCSX2 android??
Please, don't talk about piracy in this forums.

Actually there's no PCSX2 for Android, the only PS2 emulator in early stage is Play!, which can boot some games, most only shows intro or menu, some are in-game but usually with broken graphics.

Phone: Galaxy J7 J700M @1.7GHz OC

@denslife16 stop advertising illegal software. It had it's thread here, which was removed that's as clear sign as you can get to avoid discussion about it and remove all mentions about it from your post.
