How Teclast X98 AIR II with Dual boot or any other tablet with Intel Atom can handle this game? Is it playable (30fps+)?

it's hard to say it is playable Sad

With 60 CPU clock and without frameskip there is a fullspeed, rarely slows, but transparent roads ruins all the joy.
It can be driven, but transparent roads transforms to blind points and sometimes you don't know where road is goes.

You can win the race though. If you remember after first race where road is goes into a blind points.

But surely this is because of PowerVR with OpenGL 2.0 instead of x86 code.
Because on pc all is very good and even smoother.
So you should test or risk.

I have exactly the same proble. Is there any solution for transparent textures?

RE: Colin McRae Rally 2005 Plus
Game runs very slowly on Android 5.0.2 - I have a samsung galaxy tab s 8.4 and this is one of the most powerful android devices on the market. So I am not sure what settings I should have for the game to make it run at a decent speed. I have auto-frameskip on but this isn't helping.

It runs great on Windows though.

It's strange because this game slowdown a lot on stages (or conditions) where sun is visible. It run pretty well when you choose midday as time of race.

JB 4.1.2 (debloated stock)

RE: Colin McRae Rally 2005 Plus
These are the best settings for this game:

- Frameskipping -- 2 or 1
(don't use auto frameskip, because it causes sudden speedups/slowdowns (when the frameskip toggles automatically))

- Simulate block transfer -- Disabled

- Disable slower effects (speedup) -- Enabled
(if you use this setting, the game will not slow down where the sun is visible)

and

- Multithreaded -- Enabled

I have an old Samsung Galaxy S2 (I9100) and the speed with default settings:
FPS 18/60 SPEED 28%

the speed with above mentioned settings + Multithreaded disabled:
FPS: 12/60 SPEED: 58%

the speed with above mentioned settings + Multithreaded enabled:
FPS: 14/47 SPEED: 88%

Screenshot:
github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/7774#issuecomment-111726376

NOTE:
PPSSPP has a bug that makes Multithreaded option to not work if it's enabled before you start the game. At least, for me this is the case. (Workaround: disable Multithreaded, start the game, enable Multithreaded.)
I reported this bug, here are more details:

But if you disable slower effects ground and sky became black... Sad

Not on my device - the sky and ground remain the proper color Smile These settings result in a massive speed increase making the game absolutely playable on my samsung galaxy tab s! Thank you!

RE: Colin McRae Rally 2005 Plus
Even with latest v1.4.2-196 (Win), the sun still displays a dark rectangle around it and the tree shadows are wrong in all graphic backends.

This is a long standing problem. Do you know if anyone is working on a fix?

In my case since couple updates major number of objects are invisible (even fonts in pause menu), only road and sky are visible.

guess it also works as a tiny speedhack since it removes heavy effect related to that flare.

Other problems are likely related to abusing broken non default settings(like many posted above), regressions(like the mipmap awfulness starting from v1.4-205-g8cff9f8) or buggy graphics drivers.

RE: Colin McRae Rally 2005 Plus
When you set frameskip to 0 (or 2, 4 etc.) shadows begin to flicker but when you change resolution and then set it back to previous one flickering stops. Is there any option to achieve this without messing with resolution option?

Motorola XT894
JB 4.1.2 (debloated stock)
GPU: PowerVR SGX 540
DualCore Cortex A9 1,2 gHz (overclocked to 1404 mHz)
RAM: 1gb
