monster hunter freedom unite sync problem?
hi! i really enjoy using the emulator, and playing monster hunter with my friends has been really fun. the only issue i'm having is a weird issue with sync problems in freedom unite.
we can see each other's positions perfectly, no desync there, but when we go to attack monsters, she'll be a ways away from me, telling me that she's attacking something, while i'll be a ways away from her, apparently fighting the same monster. the reason this is annoying is because of this, the monsters aggro differently, making it hard to distract a monster to play a horn or use a whetstone, etc. is this just how it is? is there some settings we should each change? somewhat irritating, but avoidable if it means i can play these kinds of games over a network. thanks for all the good work! (just for clarification, we're using hamachi and the 25% trick. thanks for helping!) |

RE: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
I dislike how hamachi counts offliners as a space taken up in a MHFU room :/

From my experience in MHFU + Mh3u, I've seen smaller monsters getting killed in front of me and no sign of a player killing it unless I'm looking at my friend halfway across the screen. Bigger monsters not so much. That's how it is for me anyway. |

RE: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Hey there, I convinced a friend to play monster hunter with me. But first I must ask, what are the differences between the connections methods(hamachi, tunngle and evolve) ? I've read that hamachi has a higher delay(but we're on the same city, so no inter-continental issues '-'), though since it's just us(for now ) the easy-to-use is good.
Also, can you dump a game trough a vita? Or can I connect a vita using the same method as for pc-psp? Tom, at what times would you play? I got to nekoht8, stopped to focus on doing guild quests. hr 2 still, so bear with me '-' |

RE: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Wee, any idea to help with 3 playing over hamachi? we get one disconnecting... with two it worked all right...
Using 25% speed trick, framerate trick. we got ingame, and it wasn't just one specific person DC'ing. We're trying it right now still... |

Have you disabled "Fast memory" in PPSSPP settings ?

RE: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Yes, everyone had if off.
We discovered we needed frame rate to be on 3 for it to work. God, the loading screen... In the end we installed Tunngle, less ping, and worked perfectly with 3 people. Nice Just not liking how on urgents we have to do it multiple times... the game should recognize that we all have the requirements for ranking up. But well, that's a design problem, the emulator is all right |

Glad you have succeeded !
Yes, it seems that Tunngle is more stable than Hamachi ♦ Intel Core i7-6700HQ | 16 GB RAM | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M | Debian Testing ♦ Intel Core i7-2630QM | 4 GB RAM | NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M | Debian Testing ♦ PSP-3004 | 6.60 PRO-C2 |

RE: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
So, me and some friends tried our hardest. We're all connected via EvolveHQ, and we tried 25% , 5% (FrameRate = 3) and enabling the slowdown at every possible time, before the horn, during the horn, at the load screen, and disabling it at 'beginning quest', after the mission loads (3D assets load) in many different combinations. We still get dropped. We connect perfectly fine in the lobby.
I'm in Canada, one is in Australia, and our ping is around 210ms. Is there a way to force MHFU to disregard pings when loading? I've looked at the source code for the emulator and it seems that the minimum timeout is set to 250ms. I dont think this is the issue, as the emulator itself stays connected to the server, but the game decides to disconnect us. Any help is welcome. |
