I haven't encountered this white-screen freeze during the intro movies, however I -have- noticed something strange with the menus. Random letters will not be displayed, but then come back and different random letters won't be displayed when you move the cursor or hit the button. It's particularly noticeable on character creation and level-up stat allocation. I haven't seen this problem on the actual dialogue text so far.

While limited in scope, you can see it in action on the menu commands in the screenshots. It's actually pretty horrendous when assigning stat points.
