As far as I can tell from google this game works perfectly in latest release version of ppsspp, so the issue is either from settings you're using or buggy graphic drivers of your device.

Soo just go to ppsspp system settings and use "Restore PPSSPP's settings to default", then start the game and load from normal in-game save avoiding savestates made earlier in case they keept the problem.

If that doesn't help it means it's some issue specific to your device ~ whatever it is. Chances are it will help as due to popular demand there are unfortunately lots of settings and hacks in ppsspp which are a tradeoff ~ a bit more speed(potentially only noticeable on some devices) - for glitches, crashes or worse which many users commonly choose to activate without knowing what they're doing.
