Imo the problem in that savestate is either a timing issue or data corruption as it either reads/writes something too fast/late or just doesn't have correct data in memory. Potentially caused by awful/hackish settings or some broken cheats made on psp.

So first thing to try is to - disable cheats, restore all settings to defaults, restart emulation and reload from normal in-game save then try again.

If it still crashes, it could be your copy of the game or whatever bad happened affected also your savedata.
For example your characters doesn't have any names, meaning you didn't read how to name them correctly despite playing english version and translator placing instructions in the tutorial script;]. While broken names doesn't cause instant crash in that fight(as far as I just tried intentionally messing my own), it could while playing affect some other important data over time, potentially bugging even your savedata. In which case sorry, but your progress could be screwed.

The fight itself, as whole rest of the game works fine for me. And at least for that fight, also with english translation(which does have some bugs in other places). Not from your savestate ofc, savestate keep all bugs so everyone who loads it will have exact same problem as you.
