This isn't a gamebreaker by any means, mind! I'm still super happy with ppsspp for a variety of reasons, and the number of games that use the dpad for camera controls can probably counted on one hand. Other than potentially mapping the dpad to the right analog stick I have no real need for a secondary control scheme, and I spent more time with Crisis Core yesterday alone than I ever had in the years I've owned it for the actual system.

Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller.
