Do you mean on PPSSPP or in general? Even so I know that the majority of people are playing this for SotN but, I would not call it a solution, I mean, the game should be fixed rather than using some kind of fake solution.

I mean on PPSSPP. I know in JPCSP that SotN works, despite emulation issues. If SotN could be playable, even if that means it has to be ripped and run on its own, that is currently a solution to the problem of it not being bootable. It's not THE solution, but A solution. Tongue

Can I please have more info about this "standalone trick"? Does it really works?

RE: Castlevania dracula X
It seems that I'll have to stick to play SOTN on my PSP
And that's too sad, because my phone runs this game on 60fps

Define "like crap". Very low FPS? Occasional crashes? Or does not boot at all? Or persistent crashes at some points that can't be bypassed?

fine at the main menu. very low fps with jittery sprites as soon as you start. non-buffered mode causes black screen. after a while the emu just gives up and crashes.

Awh. I wonder why such a port has so many issues in PSP emulators. What could be the technical reason? Could it be because of it being a PS1 game that it's mostly using coding techniques from the PS1 emulation system for PSP?

RE: Castlevania dracula X
Good news to all Castlevania lovers, as of revision v0.9.1-1676-g03735c1 the main Remake works almost flawlessly. I finished this game 2 times from scratch (didnt use any downloaded 100% save game to bypass the freeze bug) and I haven't encountered the nasty "Now Loading" freeze, so I can only assume that its fixed for good.

Almost all dialogues are fixed, save two instances that I found:
1) at the beginning of the first Shaft fight after 2 dialogues are spoken the third one hangs, so like before you have to press start to skip the dialogue and...
2) just before the actual fight with Shaft, he say something but the dialogue is muted

Lastly I said almost flawlessly because, after the audio hanged for the first time, I received severe FPS stuttering, although my FPS indicated 100%

Then I finished my first playthrough, closed the emulator, played through the entire game again and didn't found the stuttering (mostly because the second time you play this game, the dialogues are automatically skipped) until I watched the ending credits, tried to start a new game and again the heavy stuttering appeared...

All in all the main game is completely playable from start to end. I was having a blast with this game and the emu, so thanks for your hard work dev team, I guess it can be safe to move this game to playable again

Coincidently I checked forum earlier today, the thread was gone, I figured it got moved to ingame, where it belonged to, I checked there to see the loading freeze has been fixed. Last version I tried with was 0.7 something so far I remember..

RE: Castlevania dracula X
Forgot to say that the ending credits now rolls correctly (previously it was fastforwarded), also when you do an item crash the buffered effect displays correctly (previously there was some glitched background texture displayed along Richter's textures), obviously you need Buffered Rendering ON to have those effects displayed correctly.

RE: Castlevania dracula X
Works like a charm, but after I turned buffered rendering off.
I had it on and after the intro video I got a white screen. I dont know whether I can avoid by skipping the video or not.
