Xentax's more about extracting stuff from compressed game files (related to modding, sorta) while gbatemp is more or less focused on translations and whatnots (mostly portables, I suppose - hence its name), AFAIK

RE: Game Translation News
Yeah GBATemp is really good for translations and hacking related stuff. My only problem with it is a relatively recent one, after lurking in the NDS ROM Hacking and Translation section for so long it's really difficult to get used to the psp section when looking up translation projects.

RE: Game Translation News
In other translation news, for those who are looking forward for the translation progress of the third installment of the H-RPG, Monmosu Quest, Rogue (the translator) has posted his fourth status update last September 2, 2013

Here's the current status of the project

City: 3253/15603
Story: 13259/27500
Battle: 47563/88600
Encyclopedia: 41/103

Total: 64116/131806 (48.6%)

It's just a matter of time before it reaches 50% completion rate and another partial patch will be released, hopefully by the month of November, if not, maybe a full translation patch release in a few more months. Whatever the case, this is one heck of a game to look forward to, the first and second chapter of this game are already awesome and Rogue is making an excellent job translating this stuff, this third and final chapter of the game was released back in June 1st 2013, and the translation sure is making fast progress for a one man project.

Partial Screenshots with and without english patch

RE: Game Translation News
I do not know Super Robot series, is it a SRPG with robots?

I have other good news, but it is not a fan translation.
Trails in the Sky (Sora no Kiseki) Second Chapter will be released in English in next year.
http://kotaku.com/one-of-the-best-rpgs-o...1261239221
The game has a large volume of text and it is difficult to translate it.

Translation News: September 07, 2013

Suikogaiden Vol.2: Duel at Crystal Valley English Translation Released

Six months after the release of the patch for Vol.1: Swordsman of Harmonia, here comes the patch for Vol.2: Duel at Crystal Valley.

Suikogaiden Vol.2 is a Visual Novel spin-off to the Suikoden series and takes place about 6 months after the end of Suikoden II, featuring the continued adventures of the hero from Vol.1: Nash Latkje.

Fans of the series won’t want to miss out on this chance to see what some characters from Suikoden II did right after the Dunan Unification War, and fans of Vol.1 will want to see the continued misadventures of Nash.

The patch was created by old and new members of the Suikogaiden Translation Project, this time led by Raww Le Klueze with significant help from Kestrel, Graeme Howard and Magi on the translation side and Pokeytax on the coding side.

My Comment:

Woooh! Another Suikogaiden English patch release, big cheers for the people who make this game possible in English text. Thank you very much!! Now I can play the second volume in English!

RE: Game Translation News
Need some news about Front Mission 2's translation progress, I thought they're almost done putting everything in place :\

Also still disappointed at why Aeon Genesis (?) hasn't continuing their effort at translating SRW Alpha yet :\

A Tribute To Front Mission

Hello, everybody! We have finished our site maintenance tasks and have uploaded the final patch for Front Mission 2. You can also download it from our project blog and on our Downloads section.
Also, we have released our tribute package for the Front Mission franchise. Be sure to check out the page on our project blog for more commentary on this!

And regarding the Super Robot Taisen Alpha translation, it seems Aeon
Genesis hasn't show any translation updates since April 25, 2013 and is
busy translating Royal Stone for Sega Game Gear at the moment, hopefully he would continue the translation for Super Robot Taisen Alpha
anytime this year after translating Royal Stone, his last post for the SRWA translation progress was back from April 3rd, 2012 and haven't put any updates until today.

Yes it's Monster Girl Quest 3, the game is already out, the only thing missing now is the translation patch and the wait for the patch release date is making my head spin and my fingers tremble in excitement, the rapid press of the mouse left click is still etched in my mind after finishing the first two chapters a few months ago.Big Grin
