Project DIVA Extended on Windows 8 x64. Automated build version v0.6-53-g6accbf8.

Dynarec, Buffered Rendering, Hardware Transform, Linear Filtering, Simple 2x SSAA, Vertex Cache, Screen 1x (it runs up to "Screen 3x" resolution on my Lenovo Y580/Intel Core i7 3610M, but Fraps is too slow to record in a decent framerate, so for this video I used PSP native resolution).

Hey, first post here!
Dunno if it helps alot but the static sound starts (and gets more loud) when you get near the cliff/waterfall (also when you go further from it it fades out again) part of that stage so I bet it has to do with a reverb effect (or something) that gets applied on the fly and results into noise if nothing is getting passed from it.

Am I wrong or is it going maybe too fast? It looks like it's going a little bit faster than I remember it on my psp. It may just be I'm used to it going half-speed on my phone now.
