Rumors of a possible GTA 5 for Android/iOS
If you search on Google "GTA 5 Android and iOS," you will see a lot. Lately Rockstar opened several job openings for iOS and Android developers. Some believe it could be a GTA 5 for Android and iOS, because lançamendo the game was postponed to September 17. Others believe it is the version of GTA San Andreas, which has the same engine GTA Vice City and GTA 3, running well on smartphones. The Rockstar said also who wants bring your content for mobile devices. But there is nothing official about what they will do.

Either one is welcome for me Big Grin. Or if they have something else in mind, know that Rockstar's games are good games. I wish other companies caught the example of Rockstar to remake games, it would be great to play some classics, not quite as old as some games released for PS2. Smile

Yes, but if they will make GTA 5 for Android and iOS, will be a Lite version, withe extra low graphics. Just to pass the time. Smile

I saw a video of NFS Rivals in E3 2013, and I saw a man playing in an tablet, but he was controlling the helicopters in multiplayaer mode. Will they release for Android too? If they release for andoid, I hope they bases the graphics in Real Racing 3.

Not, was a app for tablet. Had two guys in an PC and he in an teblet. But he see just the map, and touch where will put the helicopters. The EA's says that will do a mode that all devices (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and 720 , PC and mobile devices)can play in a unic server. But I think the mobile devices can only control the helicopters.

Some games in E3 (Dead Rising 3 especially) utilizes tablet to do something, like CALL AIRSTRIKE INTO NEAREST POOL OF ZOMBIES

That alone doesn't means there'll be a tablet version of Dead Rising 3 just an assistant application to help the player doing shit in the game.

Except in NFS Rivals case, it obviously WILL be released on tablet since it's EA.

Meanwhile R* also opened several job offers for PC porting, so.......

I'm pretty sure that San Andreas will make it to iOS/Android on its 10th Anniversary (2014) They managed to port VC perfectly... no reason not to port SA now

SA still highly possible although it obviously would need a lot of room for installation, not sure if GTA V.

Hell even the Xbox360 version itself consists of 2 DVDs and requires 8GB for the game save alone, so dream on.

RE: Rumors of a possible GTA 5 for Android/iOS
What I did not like in GTA VC for Android was that the resolution of the textures are very low and full pixel. This leaves the game for smartphones lighter less powerful, but should adapt to the most powerful. I think my S2 gave the job to 30 FPS. It can run at 40-60 FPS on average.

The GTA SA for PC and PS2 is just 4GB.

My phone have 11Gb of Internal Storage. If is needed, I delete some things just to install this game. Big Grin

Not everyone on this planet have God-tier tablet/smartphone device, you might forgot about that truth.

IMHO playing GTA on tablet is sorta pointless unless if you travel a lot thanks to the obvious lack of moddability

Wrong. Look at my folder size on the screenshot I made below Wink
This is a clean installation, without mods or something else...

More or less they'll have no choice but to significantly tone down the graphic details et cetera et cetera.

Once again we all know that the PC port of GTA IV was terrible (optimization-wise so did EfLC) therefore I'm not sure how they would port GTA IV to mobile devices.
