Rainbow standalone version of PPSSPP for Switch
Hello Everybody,

I was wondering if there will be any version of PPSSPP
released on the Nintendo Switch as a standalone version?
Or will it just be part of the cores in Lakka or RetroArch...?
I really would prefer a standalone version with full options and
menus like the Windows release if this is possible...
So, I'd like to know if there's any hope or is it no longer an issue.

Greetings

Richman

RE: standalone version of PPSSPP for Switch
It's technically possible and will probably happen at some point in the future. Of course, only for hacked Switches.

RE: standalone version of PPSSPP for Switch
I second the wish for a port for the switch that can work with RetroArch.. This is the only thing missing..

I know you guys are busy, but imagine the metal gear acid games or the God of War games.. Awesome..

Thumbs Down RE: standalone version of PPSSPP for Switch
I would really appreciate it if there was a possibility to run both standalone version, along with RetroArch core of PPSSPP! Smile

I wish that the exploit for patched NX’s comes out sooner. Been dying to turn my switch into an emulation powerhouse.

Just so you're all aware, a fork for Switch has been made using RetroArch/LibRetro by someone else.
Here's their Discord if anyone is interested.

RE: standalone version of PPSSPP for Switch
The RetroArch PPSSPP Core seems to run a few of the Games I have great. A few others, God of War for example, go slow. So might need some tinkering for that one. Pinball Heroes in not working. Wont get to the Menu.

RE: standalone version of PPSSPP for Switch
The main game I am hoping to play on my Switch is Lunar Silver Star Harmony however it is one of the games which use the PSP system default font which is absent from the PPSSPP core and standalone version. Games which use the system default font immediately crash on the standalone app and load which invisible text (aka loads the text through no font) on RetroArch's PPSSPP core.

Hopefully this will be addressed.

RE: standalone version of PPSSPP for Switch
Emulating other consoles is a primary reason why we hack our devices and hacked Nintendo Switch consoles have a wealth of emulators from ones for older consoles like the SNES to relatively recent consoles like the PSP, DS and Wii. In this article, we’ll be looking at the recently released standalone.
