include in-game saves to savestates
Please add an option to include in-game saves to savestates or to delete the in-game save when loading the savestate to prevent problems like unable to save in-game after loading a savestate.

RE: include in-game saves to savestates
Keep in mind that savestates are more prone to corruption and if you use an option like that you are risking your in-game saves (just from a different issue). Honestly I can see this causing just as many issues to people who turn it on and don't understand how not only the savestate but also the in-game save got messed up as people time traveling (using a savestate to travel to a period when there should not have been the in-game save causing the game to have issues) and messing up in-game saves.

So if it is added I would recomend a warning message on it in the UI to let people know that this too can cause issues if just randomly used (kind of like how people already mess around with multi threaded and psp clock settings and have issues).

RE: include in-game saves to savestates
We have a thread for feature requests here.

Most likely noone will work about optional feature like that through because it's bad, would make rewind useless or even force disable it and increase the time and size of normal savestates as well.

Abusing savestate feature in general is bad not as much because savestates might be buggy, but because games are naturally complex software with it's own bugs and stability issues, even on real hardware most games would end up buggy after many hours of play and abusing savestates is simulating this occasionally leading to memory corruption. This links to time paradox issue as both of them are caused by users laziness and lack of imagination.

In the end as discussed in the past this would be solved better by informing users to not do dumb stuff. IMO preferably in a form of bothersome warning that popups on their screen and stays there for a while before giving any choice forcing affected people to read and understand the situation they created. That would also help much more people as it could be active by default which keeping savedata copies could not because of it's negative consequences that most of us would not want.

Even that might not be implemented any time soon, because it's really a non-issue, most games does not have such protections and even with few that does it affects very few of users which then can easily fix it by themselves by just restarting the game and loading normal in-game save which additionally clears any potential memory corruption issues as well. Or in some more popular cases use a cheat to break that useless game feature(at most protecting savedata made on different memsticks) completely.
