RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
The only thing SE accomplished was getting the translation patch off of Sky's site. They'll never get it off of the entirety of the internet now that it's been circulating and distributed for over a month. Good luck getting it removed from all the torrent sites it's on, SE. If anyone wants it, they will easily be able to find it and get it. Sky's work lives on and was not in vain.

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
I know that path is alredy on other sites and torrents so sky's work is not wasted. And patch contains a lot game files but you cant play game with only patch, you still need game cd. SE removed it now, because it will release this game on ps4 and xbox one. They have useless reputation not from nothing and it will drop even more...

Check the link in my post above about Leecherman made alternative no-umd patcher and you'll see how far from truth are you. Basically to all respect to their work, Sky forgot about oldest and most important rule of fan based translations - don't release copyrighted content within the patch. All patches and fan made games which included copyrighted content like textures/models/music etc. were taken down doesn't matter the company they affected, I don't understand the suprise in this case at all because not only it had whole content, it was a repack of whole game.

I wanted to be out of it, but damn I have to add a bit - do NOT impersonate SE I dunno why people are doing it heh. It's a company not a person it doesn't have a choice to let fans release their stuff or not neither it can have any kind of feelings towards some groups or other people. It gives job to lots of people so it has to be responsible for them and laws are made in civilized countries to ensure and even enforce that to happen.

Also the reason they release HD version has nothing to do with it, it's just one of the theories that has no proof. But no person with any kind of economy/marketing education would belive in it, since you could easily say that this fan made patch would only affect Vita version sales, and they already did a right move to not release it on that handheld. Next gen console market is not affected by it at all. Game sales is affected purely by marketing and to whole rest of the adult world, this was just a company fighting with piracy, and most of the actual fans are supportive towards such moves.

I myself like the translation alot, but seriously I cannot support the way it was released. If anyone's reputation was hurt by this story it's not SE, but all fan translations which more often than not can now be checked for copyrighted content.

Did you reset your settings to default? If yes, try another version of PPSSPP.

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
I've found a glitch, when using non buffered rendering, whenever I do ace's dodge in battle or when absorbing essence from people the screen flashes black for half a second.

It doesn't happen on buffered tho Sad.

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
Disabling the game's ability to create and use buffers will cause things to be rendered incorrectly. This isn't really a bug, since non-buffered rendering is just a speedhack that happens to work most of the time, especially for simpler games.

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
I see Smile I switched to buffered rendering and got one of the new revisions of ppsspp, multithreading seems to work fine with type 0 now, had it playing for 10 minutes without a crash and managed to get it to full speed 90% of the time on a snapdragon 801 phone.

Edit: nvm, multi crashed it Smile

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
I tried playing multiplayer via hamachi/tunngle/coldbird with a friend and we couldn't connect at all. The best we could do was me (the host) being able to see the mission and when joining I would get the "There was a communication error." message. We were using the latest build, v0.9.9-68-g404766c.

However, I did see the Compatibility thread and saw

Final Fantasy Type-0 [Work] Before revision v0.9.8-1390 not after (Adhoc update killing this game, waiting new update fixed)

Will netplay end up working if we just use a v0.9.8.-1390 build or do we need an older version of AdHocServer as well?

I think the OP needs to update the post or create a new thread. Information is very outdated and going through all the pages is tedious.
