Grand Theft Auto - Vice City Stories

RE: Grand Theft Auto - Vice City Stories EU
Hey guys, the game is running very fast on my phone, I'm using the latest builds, and the game runs at full speed almost all time. I'm using the resolution 1x PSP, if I put Auto(1:1) - that is 800x480 - the game is a bit slower, but not too much. If enable the Timer Hack, I got constantly freezes, because sometime the FPS is too much down, and the speed is too much high (for example:19/1 (3210.5%)), so with this speed the game freezes for few seconds.

Hi everyone!
I got ppsspp 0.9.5 and iPad 4 on 6.1.2
Downloaded the app with stock settings, so after R logo and loading bar the app crashes.
Game is EU.

Any advices or anyone with the same hardware and working game?

Thanks in advance.

Grand Theft Auto - Vice City Stories US
Hello!

I just registered here. Anyway, today i have completed Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories US version (story missions only). I have to Thank the PPSSPP team for that. I never could get into it on the original PSP.

There where a few issues:

Audio delay/out of sync, only noticeable when the radio resumes to play when in a vehicle, after pressing pause. No big deal.

Slight lag, more frequent when i start to play the game, after a while it only lags one every few minutes. I have tried every setting combination form lowest to highest and it would still lag occasionally.

I have played the game on: ppsspp-v0.9.5, ppsspp-v0.9.5-803-g7bdca82-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-816-g2f7057e-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-824-g7c7c4aa-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-839-g569a3cd-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-848-g726327b-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-857-g7881cf2-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-868-g50f67d6-windows-amd64 and ppsspp-v0.9.5-870-g6a8123b-windows-amd64.

And the lag happens on all of them.

Also there is texture loading problem, i don't know if it's supposed to be like that in the game or is it a emulation problem?

Maybe its my PC? Here are my Specs:

I'm very impressed by the emulator and the rapid progress it's making!

RE: Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories US
Moved to Playable. It'd be nice to know if the US version has any differences from the EU version in terms of compatibility. If it doesn't, I'll merge this with the EU thread at some point.

RE: Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories US
Good news to GTA's users, now we can play without buffer rendering. You can start the game normally (with buffer rendering) and when get in the game, disable the buffer rendering, tap start, you will see the menu with the ghost issue, but when I tap play again to back to the game, it will works well. You also can start with buffer rendering disabled, tapping start constantly, when you see the menu, tap start again to back to the game. With buffer rendering disabled the intro is black, only the Rockstar's logo not, because is a video

Don't ask. We don't talk about piracy here, and its not allowed, so delete that before a mod sees it.

As Obi said, please respect our forum's rules.

Do not ask for places to illegally download games. Buy them and rip them yourself.
