How does the Android port run on the Xperia Play and Nvidia Shield?
More importantly, does the Nvidia Shield run it significantly better? Or does the Xperia Play run it just fine?
The Nvidia Shield is a lot more powerful so I assume if either were capable of running it problemless I guess it's the Shield? |

RE: How does the Android port run on the Xperia Play and Nvidia Shield?
The shield can run Soul Calibur at 2x resolution at 60fps of average. Is pretty powerful and still until a new contender comes out, raw power speaking is still the fastest and strongest cpu/gpu out there.

RE: How does the Android port run on the Xperia Play and Nvidia Shield?
Shield runs it a lot better than Xperia Play. Not all games are full speed on Shield but most are, and the toughest ones can usually be made playable by applying a little frameskipping (GTA runs really well at frameskip 1, for example). There is a GPU driver bug on Shield that causes artifacts to appear in a few games like Wipeout, this can be worked around by using non-buffered rendering.
Xperia Play will only run simpler games at full speed. |
