Dead Head Fred
Comparing to JPCSP, PPSSPP have great performance, it goes in-game, but no sound+no visible textures, only fog everywhere. It you can fix graphics issues, this would be first playable 3d game Big Grin

RE: Dead Head Fred
Still not working on the latest beta.
If I remember correctly, there are changes related to videos in the revs between 0.8.1 and 0.8.1.8

I tried ppsspp-v0.7.6-1107 and disabled the media engine. When I started the game, all of the videos were skipped(including the one on which ppsspp is actually freezing)and the game jump directly to the title screen.

So the problem is maybe something related to playing\loading the videos

Yes,it´s the very first video
If you skip it(editing the image for example),the game works fine after that

It's only calling sceMpegAtracDecode, and I think we only advance the video / consume frames in video...
