[Tutorial] How to use cheats on Mac OS X build. - Cupid - 02-07-2014 03:14 AM

Hi guys, so this is for the current running Mac OS X build 0.9.6. I couldn't find any information on this myself so I figured I would post it for any other Mac users who couldn't get it working.

Step 1: Open PPSSPP and navigate to the settings/system on the right side of the application. Scroll down and check the Activate Cheats option.

Step 2: Start your game and then shut down PPSSPP after you reach the title screen.

Step 3: Next, you will need to open a terminal and paste this in -
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -boolean TRUE
This will allow you to see the hidden files on your Mac.

Step 4: On the top menu bar click on Go/computer/users/your_name/.config/ppsspp/psp/cheats

Step 5: Open the .ini file associated with your game and enter all the codes you desire.

Step 6: Once finished, open up PPSSPP and launch your game. Once to the title screen, hit the ESC key and navigate to the right where it says Cheats and activate or deactivate any that your heart desire.

Thanks for reading and feel free to comment if you have any questions. Just for reference this was done on Mac OS X Mavericks.

Actually, I'm a little confused on what I'm supposed to do even after reading this, to be honest. I had to create a cheat folder after enabling cheats and starting the game. Then I get this ini file that looks like the terminal and even opens with terminal but i can't put any of my cheats in. Please...I know it's 2015 and I probably will never get a reply but I need assistance. Sad

Also, thank you for your time.

I reply to you here given that you have disabled private messaging on your account and that you have not provided any e-mail address...

SSmack24 Wrote:Hey, I'm not looking for a argument or disagreement. What I need is assistance and step by step instructions on how to use the the ppssspp mac build. That's all I wanted. I made the thread so that someone could help me. So, am I supposed to do? Wait until someone gives me a reply? You obviously don't want to help me.

Hi !

Yes, you need to wait until someone gives you a reply, that's the basis of a forum...

It's not that I don't want to help, it's that I don't know anything about Mac OS.
Moreover, I never use cheat codes...

I see. Thank you for your reply btw. Also, I just found out how to do it recently. So, regardless if whether you helped or not, thank you.
